Simon Cowell Says Paula Abdul Wanted to Bed Him

 Simon Cowell says that when he first met Paula Abdul, he was certain that she wanted to sleep with him. Simon explains that there was much tension between them, and they developed a love/hate relationship because of it, but he ultimately decided that he didn’t want to:

 ”We didn’t like each other in the beginning. I think it was sexual tension – on her part. One million per cent she wanted me. I considered it. But then I thought, I don’t think the after would be as good as before.”

Simon also jokes that if they had slept together, he wouldn’t let Paula sleep over:

 ”I’d let her stay for a few hours, but then it would have to be, ‘Good night.’ “

However, Simon does say that he likes how Paula isn’t afraid to go against his opinions which is why they make a good team, and he wishes he had her on board for ‘The X Factor’:

 ”What’s interesting is she’s snappy, Paula. You know, she doesn’t like something. I’ve forgotten what she’s like. She doesn’t like you to disagree with her. And there were one or two disagreements. But that’s why we wanted her on the show. I think it’s important that everyone has their own viewpoint. But she is good at spotting talent.”
