Selena Gomez is taking a break from her music career to focus on acting. Selena, who is currently filming ‘Spring Breakers’ with Vanessa Hudgens and James Franco, says she wants to further her career as an actress so she can challenge herself, even though she understands that her fans will miss her music:
“‘I’m just kind of halting music for a bit. (I’ve) been really focused on more acting.For me it’s been fun to take risks and do things that are completely different. To be honest, maybe some of you guys might not be comfortable with it … I’m still the same person. Things that challenge me really excite me”.
Selena is also set to work alongside Ethan Hawke in ‘The Getaway’ and is hoping she can take on more serious roles in the future too. She says the role is very exciting to her, and even drops a hint that we’ll be seeing her in something else too:
“It’s really, really exciting. So we’re doing that and then hopefully another movie, but that hasn’t really been confirmed yet”.
After she has completed the films she has lined up, she will be heading to the studio to record another album:
‘Then I’ll start working on my fourth album, which will be the best album I’ll ever do!”.
