Selena Gomez Explains Justin Bieber Date

Justin Bieber fans were left worried that he might be taken after Justin was spotted hitting up a House of Pancakes for breakfast with Selena Gomez, spurring rumors that the two are an item. However, fans can breathe easy, as Selena has confirmed that their breakfast date was purely platonic. Selena laughed off the rumors: “It was pancakes! Oh my gosh!” Selena also says that Justin is “one of my best friends…It was just pancakes!” She says that the meet up was completely innocent, and happened because they were both playing gigs at the same place:

“Who doesn’t like pancakes? We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That’s all it is. All innocent.”

Previously, Selena has opened up about Justin saying that he’s like a little brother to her:

“I love Justin. When he first started to come over from Canada his manager contacted me and he just said that he would like to meet me and he was just such a good kid…I feel like a big sister now, ’cause I want to protect him.”
