Is Hudson a Diva? Wins Another Award Posted by Tiff on 13 Mar 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over the past couple weeks, several reports have surfaced in the media, bashing Jennifer Hudson, former 'American Idol' contestant and Grammy winner, for some diva-like behavior.... on the heels of saying she didn't feel like she had to think the singing reality show for getting her recognition, and being granted free burgers for life at former employer, Burger King, the singer/actress is in the news again.
TMZ reports that Hudson didn't want to attend the Soul Train Awards when she called show and said she couldn't make it. Clive Davis, however, had other ideas. Davis is one of the driving forces behind Hudson's success today (along with yes, her talent.)
She did attend the Soul Train Awards, where she nabbed the "Entertainer of the Year" honor. She was the only one of her Dreamgirls cast mates who showed up for the event.
Personally, I think it's good she went, and I don't see why she wouldn't have wanted to go, especially if it had been pre-announced she'd be nabbing an award. And, while I know having 'Idol' stigma on a career can be limiting, with the success she's had recently that doesn't seem to be a problem. After all, it did give her a chance to use it as a springboard to where she is now.

Isn't that creepy how Tom is just peering into the camera in the background there? Yeah.
You know the drill! Many more pics on the flip side!
Oscar Fashion Review Posted by Kim & Tiff on 25 Feb 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's pretty early to call, but I think Emily Blunt's look is my FAVORITE of the night. A sequined dress isn't really anything special, but that color just makes it pop! Love it.
Oh Jennifer, Jennifer.....*sighs* she was doing such a good job all season long with her fashion choices, and I really expected a slam dunk tonight. The dress itself is pretty, but what's up with the huge, shiny cropped jacket? You could see that thing from space.
What is this, grandma J.Lo? Honestly I'd rather see sexy J.Lo with a dress opened down to her belly button than this unflattering number.
Absolutely nothing about this atrocious outfit surprised me. This is EXACTLY the type of fashion misstep I would expect Kirsten Dunst to make. She always manages to make herself look stupid one way or another.
I know Tracey Edmonds isn't technically a "celeb", but I love, love, LOVE her dress! It totally has that futuristic feel that's very much in right now, and it reminds me of a few things I designed for my final project (so I'm sort of biased, ha!).
Beyonce is totally redeeming herself for that over the top gown she wore at the Golden Globes. The hair, the make up, the dress, the color...everything is working for her!
The oversized bow didn't work for Charlize, but Nicole pulls it off quite well! Great color, too.
Grammy Recap Posted by Kim on 12 Feb 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The show was pretty good this year. Most of the performances were "entertaining", but nothing mind blowing and amazing. I don't put much stock into who actually wins the awards, simply because it's all so commercialized and political (as we saw this year) but seriously after seeing the obnoxious Dixie Chicks jump on stage SO many times I actually wanted to see Justin Timberlake win something. Talk about desperation....
And speaking of Justin, her performed a medley of Aint No Sunshine (one of my all time favorite songs) and My Love with the winner of the Grammy dream come true (or whatever the heck it was called) contest, Robyn Troup, in addition to his earlier performance of What Goes Around (overdoing it much?). Anyways, I didn't follow the competition but I think the voters made a good decision; the girl had a nice voice.
Carrie Underwood teamed up with the Rascall Flats as a part of a tribute to The Eagles. She did a great job on the first song, even though it was too hardcore country for my taste. Desperado alright, but seeing her actually MOVE on stage at the end was a real surprise.
Isn't this kind of anti climatic? Beyonce singing Listen here when she's going to sing the same dang thing in like, three weeks at the Oscars? Ring the Alarm would've been perfect, considering almost everyone felt it was "appropriate" to sing a ballad.
Ooh, and look who showed up after the show to support her man! As fug as I think John Mayer is, he and Jessica are oddly kinda cute together.
Grammys! Posted by Kim on 11 Feb 2007

It's official...metallics are in. I don't think I've EVER seen so many people wearing silver; it's such a popular color that even the men were wearing silver suits down the red carpet at the Grammy's.
Check out all the fashion on the flip side, and check back later for pictures from the show and a list of the winners!

Can you ever forgive me for falling behind with the fashion week coverage? I'll be playing catch up tomorrow with all the shows but for now, the celebs.
Isn't the dress Fergie's wearing SO cute? I love it.
