Model and 'Project Runway' host Heidi Klum and husband, singer Seal welcomed their second son together on November 23.

The couple have named their son Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel, which is quite a long name for a little guy.

In May 2005, Seal and Klum welcomed son, Henry Gunther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, and Klum has a daughter named Leni from a previous relationship.

When asked about his new son Seal said he looks just like his mother.

Michael Knight Hooks Up With Brandy
Posted by Kim on 22 Oct 2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone else remember seeing Brandy in the front row of the Project Runway fashion show? There's a good explanation for her being there...she's actually dating Michael Knight! The two met when Brandy was promoting America's Got Talent. Now she has no excuse to ever be on the worst dress list again!

Project Runway 3: The Reunion
Posted by Kim on 05 Oct 2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a night of TV! I'll get to my thoughts on Lost and The Nine later (read: in the morning, sowwy!) but right now it's all about Projet Runway. Tonight was the reunion episode. It was fun to watch, here were a few points I found particuarly interesting:

-Remember Keith? Good, because I didn't recognize his face. He's the one who got dq'ed for having pattern books and leaving the premises for hours (oh yeah, him!). Now he claims that the producers confiscated the books when he initially showed up for the show, but then a week later they were returned to him and "magically' ended up under his bed. Okay. Wow, what a bombshell. Im surprised they didn't edit this out. He also said that he left the apartment because the production manager basically showed him the door. Thisguy ust seems odd, and he doesn't exactly have a history of honesty. Although I wouldn't be surprised if there were some truth to his claims.

-Vincent calls the other designers "amatuers" but can't exactly back of his comments. It sounds like he got a little nervous when he was put on the spot, basically he explains it like this: "it takes a certain level to be at a certain level of design".....mmmkay, sure. Whatever you say.

-They showed a never before seen clip of Vincent going on a total diva tirade because the production manager washed his clothes. Now, I can understand being upset about this, especially if he did tell them several times not to wash his clothes and now they were messed up. But screaming at someone, cussing them out and then asking for plane ticket home is a bit...much. I mean, dude, you're a fashion designer, just whip something up for yourself.

-Michael wins the fan favorite award! No surprise here, but the guy deserves it. Not only is he a great designer but he seems to be a nice guy. See Jefferey, bing nice never hurts!

Next Week: Dramarama! So SEVEN of Uli's models get drunk and probably won't show up? Ugh, irresponsible people like this get on my last nerves! Hopefully things work out, Im sure some of them will show up. And Laura accuses Jefferey of outsourcing his sewing. Can't wait to see what happens with that!

And goodness, will this show ever end! I mean I love it but they should've show the reunion along with the finale last week. Instead we get part one of the finale next week and part two the week after. Um, did they forget the fall season has already started? I have a feeling the PR finale is just going to be overshadowed by all the network shows.

Project Runway 3: The Final Challenge
Posted by Kim on 28 Sep 2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last night was the last challenge before the big finale of PR at fashion week. The designers were instructed to create a single garment that reflected them as a designer. Along with it they had to take a photo around New York with the model and come up with 3 words that describe the look. I liked this idea, it seemed appropriate for the designers to kind of "define" themselves and show the judges where they would go with their collections if they made it to fashion week. But the results weren't quite as impressive.

Jeffrey and Laura both struggled, but not as much as Michael. His dress was...meh. It looked good on paper, in my opinion, but it wasn't executed well. I think if he had used contrasting colors and shortened it it could have been much more attractive. Instead the gown just falls flat and is way too revealing in the front.

I didn't mind Jefferey's dress, but the judges pretty much hated it. Before tonight I thought the competition was leaning in his direction, but now I think the playing field is pretty even. And according to this Jeff might get eliminated for cheating! Ouch, bad decision on his part if it is true.

Laura's dress was probably my favorite of hers from all season, but she still hasnt found a way to step out of her own box. Unlike Uli on the other hand, who easily won the challenge with her blue print dress. I love it! It's different but still has her own style.

Despite Jefferey and Michael's misses on this episode I really didnt expect either to get the boot. And instead of kicking off Laura like they probably should have, the judges let all four designers go to the final round. Snore. SO anti climatic, and that's all I have to say about their decision.

Next week is the reunion show, so if you're curious about the designers final collections they can be seen here. I really have no clue which way the judges will lean, but I think it will come down to Uli and Jefferey.

Project Runway 3: Back In NY
Posted by Kim on 07 Sep 2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Snore! First off I've gotta say this episode was b-o-r-i-n-g. And on top of that the designs were awful. What's going on here? It's supposed to get better now that the end is near. This time around the designers were instructed to create a couture gown in only two days. Ouch. Jefferey's dress was the only one that really looked couture, and therefore he took home his second win in a row (but he's not the first to do that!). I usually don't care for his stuff, but I like this. It shows a lot of creativity and he definitely took a risk with the print.

Once again I think the judges were slightly too hard on Kayne. Im not sure why Jefferey can get away with being outlandish but Kayne can't. Is this dress over the top? Yes. But there are elements to it that I really liked, especially the corset. The stripes weren't necessary, though.

Michael is still my favorite but his dress was just awful. Especially the "bunny ears" sticking out of the bodice, what was he thinking? The dress looked a thousand times better once he tucked them down.

As the judges said, Laura's dress just SCREAMS old. And it's ugly. No creativity, no originality whatsoever.

Uli's dress was beautiful, especially the color. The silhoutte was very predictable (coming from her). Still, I feel like it's missing something and I can't figure out exactly what it is.

I couldn't decide if Vincent's dress was worse than Laura's, and I still can't. But it was his time to go. His little creation last night was very matronly and it looks like the model was wearing curtains as skirt. But what I really didn't understand was the big flower on the back. Did we not learn anything from Angela's mistakes?

Project Runway 3: Jet Setters
Posted by Kim on 31 Aug 2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The models were out of work once again. Last week the designers had their moms model for them, this week they designed outfits for themselves! Well, themselves if they were superrich jet setters. Here's what they came up with:

For the first time the judges came down hard on Uli. I kinda liked her design, it was eclectic and the patterns went together nicely. But when she put it on the first thing I thought was "doesn't she already have a dress exactly like that?" and the judges noticed it too. Kanye's outfit was very...flamboyant. Im just going to go on the record and admit I LIKED IT! Sorta. The fit was awesome, although the pants were kinda flarey at the bottom. And even with the embellishment on it, I mean have they never seen Cavalli's mens line? He would totally design something like that, and I bet it would fly off the racks.

Angela's outfit was just straight up UGLY. Eew, Tim was right about it looking Juniors. I mean, that's ready for the sales rack at the Limited Too, and a 30 something year old woman wants to wear it? There' just something wrong with that. Angela got the boot, and rightly so.

Um, yeah. Thanks for the effort.

Loved this dress. So pretty and so elegant, and a great color choice.

Michael vs. Jefferey: the rematch! It would have been hilarious if Michael had won again, Jefferey probably would've had a breakdown (thus creating some darn good tv). But good for Jeff for winnging a challenge....finally. I didn't care for his outfit but it was very rock, and very him. The construction was good too, and you've gotta give him props for pulling of a blazer in such a short amount of time. Same goes for Michaels outfit, he did a lot in such a short time. So far he he hasn't missed a beat.

Taking the designers to Paris was a nice touch...although it reminded me of that OTHER show about fashion!

Project Runway: Mothers & Sisters
Posted by Kim on 24 Aug 2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last nights episode was kinda boring design wise, mainly because they were designing for their moms and sisters (think old, matronly designs). Not that I'm crazy about those gross looking stick thin models, the designers surprisingly had no idea what to do for plus sized figures. I kind of thought they'd be just a little bit more flexible/versatile.

Surprise, surprise. Crazy Vincent actually won a challenge. I think he did a great job designing that black dress, but I'm not all that crazy about it. The collar looks a bit too flying nunish for my taste. I really think Uli should've won this one. She's the only designer who used her own trademark style but still made an age appriopriate and most importantly stylish, garment.

There was the good, and of course the bad....which were brought to us by Jeffery and Robert this week. What Robert did with the black and red was totally the obvious way to go with plus size fashion. He didn't show any creativity or thought at all, so I understand why he got the boot. BUT I really wanted Jefferey to get kicked out. The way he treated Angela's mother was just straight up disgusting! And then of course his mom tries to make excuses for him. Someone should let her know that him being a recovering druggie and alcoholic isn't going to make everyone feel sorry for him.

Laura also revealed that she's pregnant again. Like that woman really needs anymore children. But I guess this explains why she freaked out at Vincent a couple weeks ago. Hormones.

Project Runway: Micheal Wins Another One
Posted by Kim on 19 Aug 2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another win for the once underrated designer (or atleast I thought he was). This was a tough decision for the judges, I was sure Jeffery had it in the bag with his blue and yellow dress, although I prefer Michael as a designer and his outfit was more of my own style. I hate to say it but I think Jeffery was robbed....but only a tad.

Loved what Uli did. She always has such a great vision. I can see her and Micheal being in the top 3, but then again I saw Nick Verreos in that group last year and we know how that went.

Snore! Sure Laura's designs have class (even if she lacks it!) but do something different! I'm surprised that the judges didn't attack her for being too simple and boring.

Crazy Vincent's dress was such a piece of crap, there's no way he actually liked his work. I'm not buying it. I really didn't think what Allison did was all THAT bad, but throughout all three seasons the judges have never been forgiving when it comes to unflattering cuts. She definitely didn't deserve to get cut so soon, but after reading her exit interview on EW.com I don't feel so bad for her. Here are a few of the best parts:
You didn't seem too happy with your model. Was she really that big? I mean, was she a size 4 instead of a size 2?
No, she's a lot bigger than me. She's absolutely gorgeous, but she shouldn't be a runway model. She's maybe a size 8 or a 10. She's not thin at all.

Why would the producers put in a model who's not runway-model size?
So people like me get eliminated. They threw in someone who had scoliosis whose shoulders are three inches different. Did you ever notice whoever's designing for Nazri often wins? There are three models who seem to win. It's because they have model bodies. I was cursed from the beginning. I had the model with scoliosis the first time — that's why I don't think I won the dog challenge. And this time, my model chose me. I was like, ''Oh no!''

Yeah, right. Uh, newsflash honey, how about taking some responsibilities instead of coming up with conspiracy theories of all things? Ooh everyone's out to get me! Please. On her models webpage it says she's a size 4/6 with a 24" waist.....yet she managed to make her waist look about 30". What, was she bloated or something?

Allison is also working on a 25 piece collection for ShopBop.com. And when that fails to sell she can blame it on poor graphics or bad placing on the website.

Project Runway 3: Playing Catchup
Posted by Kim on 13 Aug 2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, I FINALLY got a chance to catch up on the last two episodes of Project Runway. I never realized wat a priveledge it is to have working cable. Anyways, last weeks episode was great, quite a few awesome designs, but what would the show be without its trainwrecks?

Both Bradley and Roberts designs ended up as a total mess. I mean, Bradley got Cher, how hard can that be? Just think sparkly, Bob Mackie, and he could have atleast gotten by. I think Roberts subject, Jackie O., was a tad bit harder to modernize. But still, using linen was just a stupid idea to begin with.

On to the good stuff. Can I just say its ABOUT TIME Michael won something....let alone get recognition! Each week, even in his initial audition, I noticed how good his designs were, and his construction skills always stood out. I think this guy could be a contendah (honestly Ive had a few dollars on him from the beginning, but Im not making any more predictions). His Pam Grier outfit was HOT. Maybe the color makes it a little bit much, but if you seperate these pieces they're ready for the racks at Bebe (and I for one would own a pair of those shorts!).

I also loved Uli's purple gown, it reminds me of that dress Jessica Simpson wore to the VH1 awards but cuter. And I love how she mixes patterns together and totally knows how to make them work.

Kayne definitely gave Micheal a run for his money with his Marilyn Monroe dress. The colors and the patterns are kind of ugly, but when the model moved....wow. Great job, I still think Micheal deserved it though.

And even though Angela is just plain annoying, her Audrey Hepburn inspired dress was on point. Although, Im going to be nit picky here and say the detailing wasn't totally necessary, especially since Audrey's style was so clean. The neckline alone modernized the style. But honey, those rosette's (or whatever she calls them ) HAVE to GO. Please.

Also, the winning outfit from last week is on sale at Macys.com. The cropped jacket is cute, but is it really $129 worth of cute?
