Natalie Portman may not have had any exciting nominations to celebrate at the 2013 Oscars (although she has a gold statue of her own already) but that certainly didn’t stop her from making the most of the night, especially when she arrived at the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. She slipped into a sublime minimally designed white flowing dress with a unique black strap detail which ran down the side of the dress. Flatteringly flowing from her waist, the white dress is layered but not overly voluminous, looking almost like a cape as it drapes naturally from her figure. Natalie’s red carpet look is modern and elegant.
Finishing off the ensemble with green dangling earrings, a tidy hair and the best natural makeup she’s possibly ever had, Natalie is at her peak here: it’s a gorgeous dress that doesn’t flash any unnecessary amount of flesh (keeping it classy). Refined and simply while a nod to fashion’s recent obsession with clean, sleek white punctuated with black, this may be fashion-forward but it doesn’t come across as try-hard. Her beauty look and simple jewels bring this outfit together perfectly and make Natalie one of the best dressed of the event.
