Miranda Lambert Hits Out at Skinny Actresses, Carries a Weapon

Country singer Miranda Lambert has spoken on her feelings on the issue of weight. She believes that some actresses go too far and are way too skinny, and she doesn’t know how they can live being so thin. She says she is uncomfortable being too skinny, and likes to be a regular, curvy size and this is when she is most confident:

“I don’t care about being stick-thin. I don’t want stuff to jiggle. Really skinny actresses make me hungry—I see them and think, Honey, you need to eat! I’m lucky I don’t have to live like that. I feel my best when I’m a toned, not flabby, size 8. Women come up to me and say, ‘You’re beautiful and confident, and that makes me feel I can be, too.’”

She likes to drink, which displeases her trainer, and she often has some Bacardi when she’s performing and likes to be able to get drunk if she wants to:

“I drink Bacardi. My trainer, Bill, approves. I mean, he’d rather me not drink, but that’s not an option. The “Randa-rita”: Bacardi, Crystal Light and a splash of Sprite Zero. I have one before a show and a half during. Later, if I want to throw down, I throw down!”

Miranda also reveals that she has to carry a weapon around with her because she doesn’t want to employ a security team but she does have some fears because of a past death threat:

“I carry a weapon. I got a death threat a few years ago and was really scared. But I don’t want bodyguards. I am my own security.”
