Lady Gaga was seen entering the Giorgio Armani store in NYC wearing a purple coat, but when she exited the store later, she had already switched her look to a fluffy pink coat worn with a matching pink clutch and skirt. The bright outfit was completed with towering black heels, black tights and a dark sunglasses. Gaga’s style is as always, very attention grabbing – it might not be hugely flattering, but it makes a massive statement – but we all know that Gaga wouldn’t show herself without something vaguely unusual on to make sure we all take notice.
Armani has hooked up with Gaga on several occasions to provide her with red carpet looks, but it seems like a strange pairing considering the designer usually goes very classic (and dare I say, often even boring?) with his own creations, except for the Privé collections, which of late have been taking a Gaga-ish direction, probably to draw in a more youthful crowd who aspire to look like her. Whatever this pink fluff ball is, it does work – it serves its function as something that makes you look twice, partly due to its vaguely hideous nature, and partly because it’s Gaga putting on her usual show. Are we sick of it yet?
