Kristen Stewart adopted a more fashionable look for the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2013 show, which she had to attend as the face of Balenciaga’s latest fragrance – what a drag, right? Kristen is thus forced to put on something other than her usual uniform of Converse, a hoodie and jeans, but this is kind of like a high fashion adaption of her usual style, so it isn’t too obviously forced upon her. The yellow quilted biker jacket has a punky edge that isn’t too unfamiliar to Kristen, plus those printed trousers are basically like less comfortable jeans.
Wearing black buckle boots (almost trainers but again less comfortable), Kristen is given a Parisian makeover for the show attendance. It may not be completely her shining through, but it has elements of her own personal style mixed in, so it’s not as fake as it could be. With smoky makeup and wavy hair, this look is very stylish and is basically how she could always look if she was bothered to put in a tiny bit of effort into her appearance. She should give it a try every now and then, it won’t turn her into the airhead she fears so much.
