According to Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardsahian’s older sister, Kim’s new boyfriend Kris Humphries will have to face her family in order for them to survive as a couple. Khloe has already met the basketball star, but the rest of Kim’s family haven’t yet. Khloe comments that Kris doesn’t know how hard this could be:

“I don’t think Kris knows what he’s getting into.  He hasn’t been around all of us yet. He hasn’t been to my mom’s house with the chaos, so the initiation process will happen this summer – if he lasts. If he can get out of that alive then he’s good to stay.”

Khloe continued to talk on her sister’s new love, stating that she hopes that she will be able to hang out with Kim and Kris with her own husband Lamar:

“Hopefully we’ll all get to go on fun trips and hang out. That’s something that we all look forward to. Kris was out with her for the NBA All-Star weekend and we hung out. Lamar got to know him and we had fun.”

Khloe says that Lamar even teases Kim about her new basketball player boyfriend (Lamar plays for the Los Angeles Lakers):

“Lamar always teases Kim. Kim will be like, ‘Oh my god, The Nets won their game.’ And Lamar will go. ‘Kim, remember this day. They’re not going to win the NBA Championship.’ She thinks it’s funny.”

Kim seems genuinely loved-up with her new man, recently stating that she hasn’t found any flaw yet:

“I think I haven’t found one thing wrong with him, let’s just put it like that.”

I think most families have some sort of process where they evaluate a new member. It seems like Kris can handle the paparazzi, be okay with Khloe, and has his own money. It seems like those are great qualities to be in a relationship with Kim. I will be watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians to see how everything develops. I watch it on the go with my employee subscription to DISH Network and the TV EVERYWHERE application.
