Katharine McPhee at Hollywood Tightest Bodies Posted by Tiff on 22 Mar 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'American Idol' season five runner-up Katharine McPhee hosted, attended, and performed at Hollywood's Tightest Bodies Party on March 21.
She's also the cover girl for Self Magazine this month....
Gotta admit, the girl does have one tight body now (which unforuntaley includes the shoulders of a line backer)! Check out Hollywood's Tightest Bodies airing April 3rd on VH1.
Katharine McPhee for Big Sexy Hair Posted by Kim on 08 Mar 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In her latest ads for Big Sexy Hair Products, Katharine McPhee models a whole bunch of looks, ranging from mod styles to more current. My favorite is the one above, with the full bangs. And we might see more people sporting this type of style since everything 60's is hot right now. Check out the rest of the pics on the flipside!
Katharine McPhee Music Video Debut Posted by Kim on 23 Feb 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Katharine McPhee has been co- hosting TRL all week long, leading up to the debut of her first video, "Over It." Take a look below:
So how is it? Good? Bad? Indifferent? I'll post my thoughts later!
Katharine McPhee Album Review Posted by Tiff on 31 Jan 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'American Idol' season five runner-up Katharine McPhee finally released her self-titled debut label album on January 30.
The album is classified as Pop, but it's really more of an Urban Pop. Songs like 'Over It,' 'Not Ur Girl,' and 'Open Toes' have potential to be catchy. 'Love Story' is quite odd, kind of a K.T. Tunstall meets the Supremes, odd combination, right? 'Better Off Alone' is a ballad that has a very old-school feel to it, I could see it in a sad post-break-up scene in a movie. Like Chris Daughtry, Katherine has a song with the word 'Home' in it. This song is more like a 'can you relate?' sort of story. 'Ordinary World' reminds me of a Disney movie. 'Everywhere I Go,' 'Each Other,' and 'Neglected' have a very R&B feel to them, which works well with her voice. 'Dangerous' reminds me of Kylie Minogue. And truly, 'Do What You Do' is a mix of all kinds of styles, and I think forgettable and cliche. It's got a bit of Gwen Stefani sound, and all kinds of R&B, there's even a little Britney in there.
Basically, I think Katharine tried to make an album that would see, and I guess I can't blame her for that. It's really not anything I'd listen to, but some people will like it. And even if we bash her a little here and there, we still think she's gorgeous, and the girl can sing.
Album Rating: Two and a half out of five stars. Download this: 'Over It
Katharine McPhee Album Release Posted by Kim on 30 Jan 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I almost totally forgot that Katharine McPhee's album dropped today. I know I'm not always too friendly when it comes to her (and rightly so most of the time!) but I think her album might be good for some fun disposable pop music, ya know? Anyways, her performance last night on Leno is getting some harsh criticism, even from her fans. I think she did pretty good for her first time singing her own stuff on live tv (or at least I think it is). Check it out:
Any sales predictions? 100-150k maybe?
ETA: I still don't know what the heck she's wearing.
Golden Globes, Indeed.... Posted by Kim on 20 Jan 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Katharine McPhee and her fashion blunders could seriously fuel this site for an entire year. And I totally missed these pictures of her at one of the Golden Globes after parties, wearing the usual unflattering dress and what looks to be some really PAINFUL undergarments. Someone should let Katharine know "golden globes" wasn't the theme to dress by.

Better Off Alone Posted by Kim on 01 Jan 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This morning on the Rose Bowl Katharine McPhee debuted her OFFICIAL first single, Open ToesDangerousI Lost You Better Off Alone. Phew, finally. Check it out, it's a pretty AC ballad with...well, not much catchy or unique sounding about it. I still think they should go with (gasp!) Open Toes!
Past Idols Posted by Kim on 24 Dec 2006
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A couple musical treats for you all on Christmas Eve, from a couple past idols. First up...
Katharine McPhee singing Over The Rainbow for the final time. I know we've all heard her sing this ad nauseum but she puts a new twist on it this time around. This is probably the BEST I've ever heard her sound.
And lastly, Jennifer Hudson singing a gorgeous, ballad version of One Night Only from Dreamgirls. Makes it really hard to believe the girl only came in 8th place.
