Katharine McPhee Inks Another Movie Deal

Katharine McPhee is already shooting one movie (House Bunny/I Know What Boys Like/Whatever) with another one waiting (Last Caller) and now she’s signed on to star in a third project, called “Success”.  The movie is an indie flick, and there aren’t many details right now but Katharine describes it as being “darker, it’s definitely hard to explain, but a specific style” and says the script “has great writing and definitely quirky characters, really well-developed characters.”  Coolness.  She also describes her character a bit, saying “I play this sweet, nice girl who gets the attention of this guy.  She’s cool; she’s the cool chick. And then there’s this other female character, and [it becomes] very complicated.”  Yeah, well I’ll just wait for the official tag line.

But her movie “success” (heh) won’t stop Katharine from putting out more iconic hits like “Over It” and “Love Story” (heh…) because she wants her next album to have more of a John Mayer feel.  This certainly should be interesting.
