Jay-Z And Kanye West Are Barely Speaking

Jay-Z and Kanye West have seemed closed than ever lately. The rappers now refer to themselves as The Throne and they’re releasing an album together entitled “Watch The Throne.” However, they may not be as close as they appear. They’re reportedly barely speaking anymore because of disagreements over the details of their upcoming tour.
Sources say West wants to put on flashy concerts with “next-level production.” The shows would cost more than $400,000 each. Jay-Z, on the other hand, wants to spend less on each show because he already has a larger, long-term advance from Live Nation that he needs to pay back.
“Jay-Z can’t deal with Kanye. Jay is a stone-cold businessman. He wants to recoup all of his money from Live Nation. But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars with a blowout show. He doesn’t care about costs. He has a lot less to gain from the shows.”
They’re expected to come to an agreement about the tour next week, but it’s already pretty obvious that they have problems with each other. For example, they both performed separately with Young Jeezy last week at a concert in New York and never appeared on the stage at the same time. They didn’t even go out together afterwards. They’re supposed to perform together tonight in New York too, but who knows if this will actually happen.
If everything works out between the two rappers, their album will be released on iTunes on August 8 and everywhere else 4 days later. Tickets for the tour are set to go on sale today, after a presale for them last Thursday was delayed by Live Nation.
