You might have come across these videos on youtube. They’re parodies of the Mac vs. PC (team PC, btw) commercials but with comic book characters from DC and Marvel comparing and contrasting the success of their movies, etc. As a self professed comic book movie fan, and someone who over analyzes everything, I absolutely LOOOVE these. Especially if you’re into this stuff, these videos are hilarious and so very true. There are twelve of them in total; the writing is great, the comedic timing is on point and the voice over work is pretty amazing considering it’s only one guy doing them all (I think?).
Check out the first one:
And one of my favorites, #7:
The other 10 are worth watching too, especially the after hours. I’m still waiting for a cameo from Ghost Rider. Check them out here.
I’m not always a fan of Avril Lavigne and her attitude, but I’ll admit occasionally she releases a song that I really like. “When You’re Gone,” her newest single, is one of those songs. I was hooked on the piano at the beginning, and then the lyrics are a little cheesy, but I like them. And the video is horribly sad, especially for those with loved ones in the Armed Forces.
Hilary Duff just released her latest video for her next single, “Stranger”, care of Yahoo music. With her last single I really liked the song more than the vid, but this time around I feel the opposite; cool video, song is just so-so. The whole harem dancing came out pretty cool, even though it didn’t look so great in the pics. And I see she still has a fetish for ugly blonde guys, oddly enough. Check it out for yourselves:
Last night was the top 4 episode of DWTS, and also the semi finals. Now, I have no idea why they’re doing a top 3 this season , it just seems sort of anti climatic, but whatever. I’m glad I actually remembered to watch last night because it was a great show!
Appolo & Julianne are by far my choice to win it all. Unfortunately they placed in the bottom 2 with the judges last night because that stupid old geezer thought their cha-cha was raunchy. They only lost ONE point during the show, and that was enough to get them in the bottom two…..yeah, tough night! Check out their cha-cha below and decide for yourself if it was “too raunchy”:
Did he really expect something clean when their dancing to Push It?? Either way these two deserve to win it because they’re the only couple who reinvent themselves each week with choreagraphy. Joey & Kym put together some good dances but they’re just too cheesy and annoying for my taste. Laila & Maksim are alright; they scored the first 60/60 in the competition ever (right before Joey & Kim did it again). And I’d place my bets on Ian & Cheryl to go home tonight. Ian is just too stiff and kind of dances like Frakenstein, but Cheryl has been lucky to get such good partners for the past three years.
Last, but not least, pics of most of the dancers at Appolo’s birthday party last night. Enjoy:
