The trailer for Lindsay Lohan’s first film after getting her life together has officially hit the net! “Labor Pains” is yet another silly comedy, this time about a girl who fakes a pregnancy to keep her job, lie spins out of control, hilarity ensues, yadda yadda yadda, you get the picture. Check out the preview below:
As much as she’s aged she still looks like a teenager to me.
Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t like to stay in the background for too long, and here she is at the premiere of her latest work, “Smart People”. Sarah Jessica stars in the movie with Ellen Page, and the premiere was held at the Landmark Sunshine Theater in New York City.
As usual, Sarah Jessica Parker showed up in one of her quirky ensembles with a shiny satin dress over black leather pants paired with a cropped jacket in a stunning hot pink. And when I say stunning, I am not saying it in the nice way.
Honestly, with this outfit, I have some concerns. The navy/black combo I can almost forget, but otherwise, she had me UNTIL the jacket. So unnecessary. But the shoes, ah, love, love!
“Smart People” will be on the big screen soon, and shortly after we will finally get to see the long awaited Sex and the City movie this spring. Will there be another SATC series?
Ohhh, how nice would that be!! I mean, Lipstick Jungle is fab, but you know, it’s just not Carrie and the girls, is it? Sarah says prolly not to another series, she’s a mom and her baby wants her home, and that’s just the way it’s gots to be folks.
So, who watched? It was a great way of making up for the Golden Globes but after about a hour I was bored. Here’s a recap of the top winners:
Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture
No Country For Old MenOutstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role
Daniel Day Lewis - There Will Be BloodOutstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role
Julie Christie - Away From HerOutstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role
Javier Bardem - No Country For Old MenOutstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role
Ruby Dee- American GansterOutstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series
The Office!Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series
The Sapranos
Other winners included Tina Fey, Alec Bardem and a bunch of people from The Sapranos. Read the list here.
And one of the stand out moments from the show was Daniel Day Lewis dedicating his award to Heath Ledger:
Very sweet of him, but still sad. Backstage he talked about why he decided to that and said…
“I suppose that’s all I’ve been thinking about for the last few days. I never met him. I thought he was beautiful. I just have a very strong feeling that I would have liked him very much as a man. …I admired him very much.”
I think that pretty much sums up how a whole lot of us feel.
And then there was the fashion. There was nothing absolutely awful, and at the same time I wasn’t blown away by anything either.
BEST DRESSED
1. Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty) - This looks high end and couture, just like a red carpet dress should! The bottom, ugh, love it!
2. Marion Cotillard - Sort of princessy but not in a cheesy or poofy way. Very ethereal and oh so pretty.
3. America Ferrera - I love this color even though it’s a bit depressing, the lace detals are pretty, love the broach at the shoulder too.
4. Ryan Gosling - Cool silver suit with a plaid shirt. I love it when the men DON’T wear a boring tux.
5. Michelle Pfieffer - Clean and simple, and it fits her like a glove. Great shoes too.
6. Sandra O - I’m going to get SO much flack for this but I don’t care! The dress grew on me when I heard the story behind it…it’s supposed to be a couture evening gown version of tradition Koreon wear; if you saw it on TV especially, you can really tell. Plus she wore an unknown local designer, nice!
7. Viggo Mortensen - He could show up in suit made of cotton balls and it still would’ve looked awesome.
8. Vanessa Williams - Making school bus look chic.
Honorable Mentions - Debra Messing & Marcia Cross
WORST DRESSED
Ellen Pompeo - The dressed looked velvet, plus there was a ton of draping and it’s hard to combine both without looking old and dusty.
Rebecca Romijn - WAAAY too much going on with this dress; it looks like someone squirted ink across it. Save that for the bedroom, honey.
Angelina Jolie - Way too much of one ugly fabric.
That’s all!

Lindsay Lohan & Eddie Murphy are cleaning up this awards season! But unfortunately for them, all their nominations are for Razzie’s. Bummer. The Razzie’s are given to the worst accomplishments in film, and Lindsay’s movie “I Know Who Killed Me” is up for nine of them, including worst picture. And Eddie Murphy’s film Norbit gets 8 nods, five of which are for his own performances….because you know, he likes to play every character in his films. And obviously it’s paying off!
If you asked me what were the worst films of last year, I’d have to say …..Captivity (starring Elisha Cuthbert) was probably the worst along with “Because I Said So” (the one with Diane Keaton an Mandy Moore), “Premonition” (Sandra Bullock) and “Vacancy” (Kate Beckinsale and whatever that guys name is).

This show gives me the yawns so I’ll probably skip out on the film. But here’s the poster for those of you who are interested. Its actually pretty nice, love the pink.
Did anyone watch that press conference? It wasn’t exciting but I actually liked that it didn’t drag on for three hours! Now if we only had dresses it would’ve been perfect! (more…)
