Yes, our girl Britney is back in town after spending some time with her sister in Louisiana following the birth of Jamie Lynn’s daughter. Rumors are circulating that Britney actually left her sister’s new mama bedside a little early because she missed her boys in L.A. so much. Seeing her sister give birth was a little emotional for Britney and it is said she was seen walking the hospital hallways looking distressed, and in tears at LAX airport. And this may be true given recent events.

Tuesday afternoon Britney attended a hearing with her ex husband Kevin Federline, a hearing that also saw the return of Britney’s first divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. Britney hasn’t had any overnight time with her children since her forced hospitalization in the looney bin at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and the result of the hearing was that Britney was granted overnight privileges with her boys.

Britney’s parenting coach also attended the hearing, and made statements on Britney’s behalf apparently, and all reports were that Britney’s attendance was ‘business like’, a much different situation than days gone by.

The judge seemed pleased with Britney’s progress, and was happy to grant her the access she was seeking. Full details of the hearing are forthcoming, as to when she will be able to resume the overnights, or what other matters transpired, but we do have legal proof now that Britney’s definitely on the upswing.

The case will be reviewed again in a few weeks, come July 15 and a full custody trial will begin in August, unless the couple is able to settle their cases amicably out of court, however, with the way things are looking, Britney will definitely be on mama duty again very very soon.

Something tells me this will not happen, but it’s amusing enough to post anyways.  US Magazine claims that Kevin Federline is planning to show off his singing, dancing and acting chops in Legally Blonde on Broadway, playing a couple of different roles, including the UPS guy.  If he does, that means the kiddies (Sean P. and Jayden James) will be hitting the big apple, and apparently Britney’s parents are willing to help make it work.  A friend of Kevin’s says, “This is his chance to show the world what he can do,” no, he tried and failed at “Popozao”.

 Well this brings a brand new meaning to the name K FED.  Kevin was looking his usually trim self just a month ago at New York Fashion Week.  I don’t understand how someone can pack on the pounds THIS quickly.  Of course his ex (no, his other ex) Shar Jackson is quick to jump at any chance of getting her name in print and defended him to US Magazine by saying “It’s daddy weight! When you are a full time parent, sometimes you can’t focus on you.”  Buuuut you don’t have to stuff your face with doughnuts either.

This weekend was the first time Britney has seen her kids since January 3rd. On Saturday, she got a 3 hour visit with Preston who is 2 and Jayden who is 1. Monday she was granted a second visit with her little ones for the same time span. If things go well, she may get to see them as much as 3 times a week.

These visits are part of a structured visitation arrangement that K-Fed has hammered out with the appropriate legal parties. Of course, the visits don’t come without restrictions. She’s got to have a whole crew of people around – her dad Jamie, her shrink, a court-appointed mediator, a lawyer, and one of K-Fed’s bodyguards.

Nothing like good old wholesome family time with the legal team, the shrink, and the bodyguards! But for Britney, this is major. Let’s cross our fingers on this one.

Well it IS for his legal fees. Kevin Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan has asked the court to require Britney to pay attorney’s fees. And if the motion is granted, it’s going to set Brit back half a million dollars! That’s $500,000 worth of fees that Kevin has racked up since last July. I can see why the attorney wants Britney to pay, because he probably won’t see a dime if it’s up to Kevin on his own! And at the same time Britney sort of is the one to blame for dragging things out in court.

Just making sure everyone saw Tiff’s last update below:

As a result of the 1:30 PM PT hearing, Britney’s visitation has been suspended. Kevin has full custody. And, reportedly, a series of orders surrounding the case will be released Monday. It looks like Britney will spend the weekend in the hospital.

A few other tidbits:

Pagesix says that Jayden James was bruised during the whole incident.

If Britney doesn’t “pass” her evaluation she can be held for 14 more days, or even longer.

During the ambulance ride her behavior was described as “psychotic” and she went back and forth between laughter and hysterics, which can be seen in the photos.

There’s also a rumor going around that she threatened to hurt herself, but there arent many details about this yet.
