It looks like things might not be going so well for Isaac Hanson, sadly. It appears he is currently in surgery a second time for treatment of a blood clot. Originally, he had a blot clot in his arm. Now, it seems the blood clot moved to the lung, which can be highly dangerous. He is still in Dallas, at Baylor University Hospital.
It seems like he’s in a dangerous situation, which is worrisome. Tour dates through October 6, so far, have been postponed.
More details as they are available.
Update: Isaac’s surgery, which has been deemed “life saving” was successful today. Apparently the 26 year old guitarist suffers from Paget-Schroder Syndrome, which typically affects athletes. The syndrome causes arteries to constrict, causing blood clots in the lungs. If the doctor approves, Isaac should be released tomorrow. And, if he feels up to it, the band will resume their tour next week in Knoxville. The other missed shows will be rescheduled.

Isaac Hanson, the oldest of the three Hanson brothers was hospitalized today for severe chest and shoulder pain in Dallas. The band is currently on tour for their album ‘The Walk’ and were set to do a show in their hometown, Tulsa, tonight. Instead, the fans who have come for the show will have the option for a DVD screening, and bands Locksley and the Meerkats will play.
There is no word on the cause or seriousness of Isaac’s condition, or whether or not this will affect upcoming show dates, the next of which is Friday in Kansas City.
Update: TMZ.com is reporting it’s a pulmonary embolism, which is a blot clot, and could potentially be serious. Isaac has had this happen in the past, and spent several days in the hospital. I’d say they’ll be canceling more shows. Get better, Isaac.
Second Update: Isaac is reportedly in stable condition. It was originally reported he was in Tulsa, but apparently he’s hospitalized in Dallas. When asked about his brother, Taylor said:
“We appreciate thoughts and prayers that have been out there for him,” he said by phone from Tulsa, Okla., the band’s hometown. “We want the tour to go on, so you know we are working steadfastly to see how long he’s going to need to rest.”
Update three: Isaac Hanson apparently underwent emergency surgery to alleviate his condition. However, he wanted the walk for charity to go on. Taylor and Zac were out on the street with fans, and the scheduled walk took place, in order to benefit AIDS awareness.
At this time, the Tulsa show (last night), the Kansas City show, and the St. Louis show are reportedly postponed. For the latest updates on the tour, go to hanson.net.

After watching ‘Science of Love’ on NBC Monday night, I was dying to find out who performed a song played in one of the segments. As per usual, I tried googling the lyrics to no avail. However, GTS reader Lara found the band, and the song, and I know I’m not the only one who’s happy about that. Thanks Lara!
Who are they? They are Tele, an indie rock/alternative band from Canada. Their song, “Choose” was featured on Monday night on NBC. The band sounds like a smooth blend of The Calling, Stone Temple Pilots, and Morning After. They mix intense lyrics and guitar rhythms with an overall smooth, driven sound.
