In case you didn’t know, New York Fashion Week is currently underway, and this year yet another celebrity is joining the ranks as a “Fashion designer”. But this is Victoria Beckham we’re talking about; one of the best dressed women in the spotlight, if you ask me. I’ve been ultra excited about seeing her collection. She’s not going to be having a runway show, but last I heard she’ll be previewing the line during fashion week to top editors, stylists and buyers. She already gave a preview of he line to WWD, and that’s where the photos of the two dresses above came from.

The line includes a total of ten looks, and here’s what Posh has to say about the collection:

“The collection was inspired by femininity and sophistication of the midcentury silhouette,” Beckham explained to WWD. “I’ve always been drawn to intricate, seam-detailed designs, as their structure enhances the flattering shape of a woman’s silhouette.”

The preview looks promising. I can’t wait to see the rest! Unfortunately, I won’t be buying any of this stuff anytime soon; I’m hearing the price tag starts at $1000….ouch!

 Whether you love this dress or hate it, you have to admit that Anne Hathaway stunned on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival, in one way or another!  The event was the premiere of her new movie, “Rachel Getting Married”.  Check out the pics below to see this dress in it’s full glory!

Ashlee Simpson is not just a pretty face, talented pop star, and former actress from 7th Heaven, she is also one celebrity that is interested in using her networks and her talents to branch into an area that she has a tremendous passion for, fashion.

Yes, Ashlee is a fashionista by all accounts and wants to pursue it now at a more serious level. She started off this weekend by acting as the spokesperson for the Request line in Toronto, Canada. The Request line is somewhat like the Bitten line in that it is affordable fashion that is both casual and trendy in pieces of separates.

Ashlee appeared in Toronto for the launch in a stunning set by Request looking gorgeous in a pair of leggings, towering heels, and a chit loose fitting T-shirt from the Canadian brand Request. Ashlee finished her look with a pretty orange scarf and showed all of Canada that you don`t need to dress in high end labels to look high end.

Ashlee has since taken her experience with the brand name Request to consider launching her own clothing line of a similar nature. She likes the thought of trendy, affordable pieces and thinks she has the fashion flair for it. I have to say, this is one girl that I have never seen look dowdy or frumpy, and even in her uncomfortable moments of pregnancy she still outshines the best of them.

As it stands now, Ashlee has started designing a collection of T Shirts for the label Wet Seal, but will branch out from this to create her own entire collection. With taste like she has, I am DEFINITELY looking forward to this one!

I got the chance to check out the Crooked Monkey line of t shirts recently; in case you haven’t heard of them, the top on the right was worn by Miley Cyrus in one of her videos for youtube. I’ll admit, I’m not one who usually goes for t-shirts but I’m really liking this brand. Why? They have cute designs, witty slogans, and most importantly to me, good colors and graphics. They’re also made in a light weight fabric, and they’re fitted (I hate baggy, shapeless t-shirts!). I got the first t shirt above and just wore it today, it’s quite cute!
