During the day yesterday, John was spotted doing the SoHo solo thing and getting some errands done, and Jennifer was nowhere to be seen. The two came out in full force together for a cutesy romantic evening at the Waverly Inn last night. This evening is a follow up to their much talked about romantic weekend in Miami last weekend.

When their evening at the Waverly was winding down, the couple tried to ‘not make things obvious’ by leaving the restaurant separately? What?? Point please? Nonetheless, all of the obligatory paps were around to ensure that yes, both of them were spotted, albeit separately, we all know they are very much together.

And expect to hear more on this, because Jennifer’s movie ‘Marley and Me’ is moving to Philly, the City of Brotherly Love, to continue filming. Compared to Miami, that’s right next door to her newfound honey-bee. Aww….how long before they are engaged? It IS Hollywood after all.

It sounds like there is a little rush rush going on, and yet still, mum is the word. But someone let the cat out of the bag because Pete and Ashlee are definitely getting married this weekend. The happy day will be May 17 and will happen somewhere in the Los Angeles area.

Why the rush? Hm, perhaps she needs to get this knot tied before she starts to show? What do you think? These two could be military spies the way they are keeping everything…MUM.

Rehearsal dinner on Friday night, after which the guests will be moved to a ‘secure location’ for the ceremony on Saturday. And that’s about all we know. Maybe the big mouth big sister Jessica Simpson will dish some details sooner than later.

Many advance congrats to Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson for their wedding, and um, anything else they may need congratulations on. I do hope we see some wedding dress pictures soon.

People Magazine has first dibs on the photos from Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s wedding. The cover says “six week romance”….yikes so they weren’t even together a full two months. All I can say is good luck to her; we all know how much of a player Nick is.

People tends to be a pretty reliable source, and now they’re saying that Scarlett Johanssen and Ryan Reynolds are engaged. Hmm, this is coming out of nowhere! I always forget that they’re even together, since they’re not so much on the radar (which is probably a good thing). We’ll find out for sure tonight if Scarlett is rockin’ a big rock at the Costume Gala in New York. Any bets on whether these two will make it down the aisle? Something tells me it’s slim to none.

Oh boy, how desperate can someone be to promote their album?  I read that Mariah Carey had been sporting a rather large rock about a week ago, and was seen hanging around Nick Cannon, but I didn’t think very much of it (hence the reason it wasn’t posted here).  Now, as confirmed by a family member to People, the two were married earlier this week in the Carribean.  They’ve been dating for about 2 months, she’s 39 and he’s 27; sounds like a recipe for success.  Should I be surprised that Mariah would pull a stunt like this??  I’d be surprised if they make it past the 48hr mark.

The rumors about John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston being an item have been going around for a short while now, and finally we have a bit of proof that something is up. In Touch Weekly got a hold of a couple of pictures of the two spending the weekend together, and looking a bit more cozy than just friends. You know, I don’t even care about Jennifer but I really, really hope she just finds someone already so we can stop hearing about her love life every five seconds. But if she’s hangin’ with Mayer, it looks like that won’t be happening ANY time soon.
