- Shea LeBeouf Arrested for DUI | Posted by chrissie on Jul 29 2008
- Heath was also suffering from pnuemonia at the time that he died
- There were photographers outside the apartment building like crazy. I kind of think adding pictures of them wheeling out the body to photo agencies is sort of…tacky??
- The apartment wasn’t owned by Mary Kate Olsen. The confusion was made because she does live in the building, and the massuese called Olsens bodygaurd who is also an EMT.
- Heath did have a problem with substance abuse but has been clean for over a year.

It sounds like Shea LeBeouf is doing whatever he can to shake off that squeaky clean image he once had. This past Sunday, Shea was injured in a car accident and also arrested on suspicion of drunk driving that caused the accident.
At 3 A.M. Sunday morning in Hollywood, Shea was involved in a collision and suffered minor injuries to his head and knee but required extensive surgery on his hand. His passenger sustained some minor injuries and so did the driver of the other vehicle. Arresting officers on the scene reported that Shea was showing ‘outward signs of intoxication’ and given that the injuries were considered minor, the charge was a misdemeanor DUI.
His reps are only confirming that an accident has occurred and have said little to nothing about the involvement of alcohol in the accident. Their official word is that he is recovering from surgery and will be returning to the set of Transformers 2 within a months time. And as usual, no further comment at this time.
But this is not the first time that Shea has found himself in trouble with the police in an alcohol related incident. Last November he was taken into custody because he refused to leave a grocery store, and he was believed to be drunk then as well.
Maybe this is one of those situations where he will never learn. Particularly since celebrities are spending approximately 12 minutes in jail every time they get behind the wheel drunk. Time will tell.

With the shocking news that actor Heath Ledger passed away today, released only hours ago, more details surrounding his passing have been released. Apparently, the actor had trouble sleeping following his portrayal of the demonic “Joker” figure in the follow-up to ‘Batman Begins.’ His housekeeper and masseuse found him this afternoon, lying face down on the floor, with pills near his body, said to be the prescribed sleeping pill Ambien, and an over the counter sleeping pill.
In an earlier interview he said:
“[It was] physically and mentally draining. I took one ambien and it didn’t work. i took a second and i fell asleep only to wake up an hour later.”
When paramedics arrived, Ledger, 28, was already in full cardiac arrest, and in spite of efforts to revive him, they were unsuccessful. TMZ reported the actor had suffered from a substance abuse problem, but had been clean for a year. Further, it has been reported that the police have thus far ruled his death “accidental.” However, an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. No suicide note was found, and it has been said Ledger had pneumonia. He was filming in London on Saturday, and had apparently returned to the City.
Michelle Williams, the actress with whom Heath has a two year old daughter, Matilda, is reportedly “very upset,” and is on her way back to New York from Los Angeles, according to Anderson Cooper.
Regardless of how/why it happened, it’s a very sad thing, especially that Heath’s little girl won’t have a chance to know her father.
Other tidbits:
Deaths usually come in threes…. Brad Renfro, Heath Ledger, and ? Scary, isn’t it?
Kim: Scary and weird. This being an accident makes it even more sad to me. And from the previews of The Dark Knight, you can really tell he poured so much in that role; I for one as looking forward to seeing the movie just for his part :/

TMZ.com is reporting that actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his New York residence today. MSNBC has added to the report, saying the actor was found with pills surrounding him. The news hit the AP wire just minutes ago, and it seems this story is sadly true.
Ledger was engaged to actress Michelle Williams, before their separation in 2007. The two had a daughter, Matilda, together. Ledger also played the Joker in the latest ‘Batman’ movie.
Kim: Wow. I came off of the internet for about 15 minutes tops and then I come back and hear this. NO ONE saw this coming; I’m in disbelief.
MSNBC is also saying he was found unconscious by his housekeeper at Mary Kate Olsen’s apartment around 3:30 eastern. He was taking over the counter sleeping medication and it’s possible that his death was suicide.
TMZ is now saying that his death as accident, according to the cops.

Orlando Bloom will not be charged with the October 12 accident in which two of the passengers with him were injured. What caused the accident? It looks like Bloom was being chased by three cars of paparazzi, and one of fans. The fans would have felt pretty crappy if their pursuit had killed Orlando, don’t you think?

Actor George Clooney was riding a motorcycle this morning in New Jersey when he was hit by a car, reports say. Clooney was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for “a hairline rib fracture and roadrash,” according to E! Online.
I’ll bet he’ll be sore tomorrow, but it’s good he’s okay. Motorcycles aren’t safe, people.
