The dancers opened the show tonight with a hot number by Chuck Maldanado. They were all dress kind of like futuristic/80’s glam rock super heroes. Way cool. We also got a performance by LL Cool J (snooore) and one by two dancers from the LA Ballet doing a pas de duex. I’m probably the only one who liked that, I just love watching dancers on pointe.
And then things got not so way cool when someone had to be voted out. Nothing that happened tonight really surprised me, we actually discussed it in the spoiler post earlier this week. Keep reading…
Bottom 4: Courtney, Twitch, Will and Comfort
Poor Courtney, being left back there alone while she knew she was in the B4 the whole tme! I felt bad for the girl. And maybe this is kind of harsh but I was pretty put off by Twitch’s reaction to being in the bottom. It just struck me as a bit childish. And Will gave his weakest solo of the show so far; bad timing on that.
The one thing that surprised me: Mark being 100% safe. And I think it’s safe to say he was surprised too! But he really needs to be AMAZING next week to make up for the past two.
Eliminated: Will & Comfort
Yep, boy wonder says bye-bye. That just about makes up for this years ridiculously contrived season. All that work the judges did trying to shove Will down our throats and TPTB attempt to sabotage Mark completely blew up in their faces. I love it! Let’s hope they learned something from this.
Oh yeah, and Comfort is finally gone. That makes 2 out of IV Real out in one episode. II bad, II sad 
Next Weeks Coupling Prediction
Will probably be (and Nigel will love this)….
Mark/Courtney - The two they probably don’t want in the finale, but still potentially a force to be reckoned with. Give them contemporary (which they’re both due for) or jazz and they’ll kill it.
Josh/Katee - The judges will love having their super couple back, plus there has to be a repeat coupling and it’s been a while since these two have been together.
Chelsie/Twitch - They haven’t danced together yet at all.
I want a Marksie/Katua top 4. And who do you guys think is going to win this? I’m leaning towards Joshua.
ETA: We’re really not all that surprised…
Reading all the aftermath of last night’s elimination, it amazes (and amuses) me that so many people were actually completely and utterly shocked at Will’s elimination. Seriously? No one saw it coming, huh? Our conversation from earlier this week:
And it’s also funny that so many viewers (outside of GTS of course) are so susceptible to producer manipulation that they’re actually taking Will’s elimination out on Mark and ignoring the fact that somehow Twitch is still there. They just need to hang out with us more.

Twitch’s reaction = awkward. You’re not voted off buddy, you’re just in the bottom 2. Wait until you’re really out to freak out like that.
Ecstatic about the results btw. I yelled “HELL YES !” at my TV twice.

I am thinking Chelsie. She has shown the most versatility in my opinion. She impresses me week after week. But so does Katee. I think that they are the strongest two. Something about Courtney just doesn’t “click” with me! I love Joshua and Mark, but I feel they have more to prove at this point that the girls. Twitch is just out of his league at this point.
Oh, and Twitch surprised me with his reaction. I was thrown by it as well. Maybe he’ll get sympathy votes for next week, but it turned me off.
Not too sad about the eliminations…Will just bored me and Comfort was ready to go. She is a sweet girl and I like her, but her dancing was not up to par.

Do you know what is up with the tour? Is it Jessica or Comfort going? Or both? I’m confused about it. I don’t think they explained it properly on the show…

I would like to say that when Twitch was upset, Cat Deeley proved that she is without a doubt the most wonderful, adorable host ever. I heart Cat!

now maybe Debbie Allen can come back and choreograph. I’ve been pulling for Joshua the whole time btw! agree with the comments about Twitch, geez he better grow some because this won’t be the last time he faces rejection.

Ty - We’re like the only ones who were happy and totally not surprised about the elimination! Everyone else on the internet was *OMGZSHOCKED!*. They should’ve been reading this site.
Leia = I agree that Chelsie should win and is the most versatile, but I don’t think she will unfortunately. Reminds me of Lacey (or even Heidi); most versatile, came in as a ballroom dancer, went out 4th :/
I have no idea about the tour. They need to give both of them equal time imo, because it wouldn’t be fair if they didnt. Comfort can do her hip hops w/ Mark and Twitch and Jessica can do all those half naked routines w/ Will.
Krock - Yeah it’s taken 2 years but Cat has finally grown on me.
Susan - Has Debbie ever choreographed?? I cant even remember…
Jen - Sorry! It’s the powers that be, like the producers and what not.

I don’t think that Twitch’s reaction was all that bad. Especially considering the fact that with him and Will on the chopping block, he probably thought that there was no way that he wasn’t going home.
Whether you loved him or hated him, Will is a technically better dancer than Twitch. If I was Twitch, I’d mentally have started packing my bags.
Considering the temper tantrums and tirades we’ve seen on the show so far, taking a moment to compose yourself after you got sucker-punched in the stomach isn’t all that bad.
Besides, he’s reacted to the good news in a similar fashion but no one called his reaction childish then.
Why is it only when the bad news comes that he loses the right to freak out for a moment over something he wants so badly and worked so hard to get?

I would love to Marksie to pair up again, but I don’t think TPTB would want that. They seem to want Courtney and Mark gone so they’ll probably pair up Katee and Joshua.

^Rumor has it that Courtney/Mark are paired together, and the source has been right for the past couple of weeks. Pretty obvious anyways.

I am actually glad that Will was eliminated because he can now try out for the Alvin Ailey Dance Company.
