Met Costume Gala

Lot’s of hit or miss looks at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala last night, which is known as one of the biggest nights for fashion and celebs of they year. My personal favorite look was Eva Longoria; she was the only one who managed to pull off something slightly theatrical and make it look really good!

The perpetually boring Emmy Rossum. Did Ann Wintour pick this out for her??

How old is Julia Roberts? That dress kinda ages her.
Now for the fun part…..The Fugly

Scarlett Johannson, the Queen of bad fashion. I know some of these looks are supposed to be theatrical but she could’ve at least chosen a color that didn’t wash her out.

And the golden fuggie goes to….
Tom and Katie, mainly Katie who seems to never look good. Why THOSE shoes?? The color combo makes me want to puke.

aside from katie’s shoes, i liked her look. the costume ball is the only place where that dress would’ve worked though. LOVED the hair! fergie, eva and janet were some of my other faves. scarlett, kimora and donatella versace’s backfat (nice dress though) were my thumbs down!

oh yeah…loved christina ricci too. she’s one of the few who took into account of the superhero/fantasy theme with her red wonderwoman red one-piece underneath.

I don’t think Emmy Rossum’s dress is that bad. It’s daring for HER, and I like it a lot better than Taylor Swift’s ensemble. Speaking of Swift, I know absolutely nothing about her other than that she can’t sing and seems to wear an awful lot of makeup for a teenager. Is she a closet diva, or is the “I’m smelling something awful” look natural?

Jenna - IA, I never cared for Taylor before but she’s a pretty girl and she looks great!! Too bad she can’t carry a tune in a bucket.

Eh, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I must disagree with you there. I’ve seen her live and met her three times and she puts on an amazing show because of her music. But you are right, she looked amazing and definitely was a stand out among some of the dresses that night. What was ScarJo thinking? Normally I am a huge fan of her style.
