Mariah Carey & Marvin Gaye on Idol Gives Back?

Last year we broke the news of Celine Dion performing with a hologram of Elvis during the first Idol Gives Back.  And it looks like this year, the show has another “surprise”/rising from the dead performance.  MariahDaily.com claims that Mariah Carey will sing “What’s Going On” with Marvin Gaye during IGB next week.  It was pretty cool the first time, so maybe this one will be too.  But for the most part these types of duets creep me out.

    Not true. Nigel Lythgoe told folks on a conf. call yesterday that they couldn’t get the rights for the Marvin Gaye song.
