David Cook Rushed to the Emergency Room

TMZ is reporting that David Cook was taken to the emergency right after tonights episode of American Idol. According to them, he was suffering from heart palpitations and high blood pressure during the show but refused treatment until after the show ended. And the AI execs are saying this is a result of stress from the show and an illness his brother is battling.

Apparently he’s been really, really stressed all season; I never would’ve known that based on what we see. The latest update says he’s been released from the hospital.

ETA: It looks like this was just a precaution, there was no ambulance or anything like that.  He’s fine, but there’s no word on whether he’ll be on the results show or not.
