Project Runway 4: Top 8 Designers

Oh wow, I loved tonight’s episode!  The designers had to create an avante garde gown inspired by their models hair style.  But there was a twist…Tim Gunn came in later and told them that they also had to create a ready to wear piece inspired by the higher end one.  Here’s what they came up with….

I have NO idea how Jillian and Victorya pulled off these two looks in two days!  Their ready to wear look didn’t do much for me, but that coat really is amazing. And beyond that they also had riding pants and a blouse underneath; that blouse had a lot of details, even in the back where the judges wouldn’t necessarily have seen.  They put a lot of work and thought into this!

Christian and Chris deserve a big wow as well!  Once again, they did a ton of work on the couture piece in just two days.  It’s also pretty much the epitome of avant garde and it looks like the model just wandered off a Galliano runway. Part of me kind of felt like Jilian and Victorya should’ve won, because I feel like their look embodied the hairstyle perfectly.  But these two were just as deserving, and they understand team work.

And then came the bad.

Well actually not completely, because I absolutely ADORE what Sweet Pea did here and I would wear that dress in a second!  So cute!  And Rami….well acting like a douche came back and bit him you know where. Seriously, even Victorya of all people managed to work with someone else and he couldn’t get along with Sweet Pea? I’m not even going to go on about his design because it would be the same thing I said about him last week.

Oh and now the UGLY.  I mean for real, I’m not just trying to be cute here.  Kit and Rickey’s dress was just….ugh.  There was really no design there, it just looked like Bed Bath & Beyond exploded on her.   And the second dress is just typical safe, boring, JC Penney worthy Rickey.

Unfortunatey Kit was the team leader and had to go.  I’m not all that bummed about her leaving because she’s been extremely middle of the pack all season long, but yet another chance to get rid of Rickey was avoided. Sigh.

My dumb TiVo keeps cutting off the last 2 minutes of every show so this morning when I watched the end of P.R., and Rami or Kit was gonna go…I heard the scary music…then…nothing…the recording ended. I raced onto G.T.S. bc I know you give great coverage!!! Thank you SO much!

PS- I totally agree with you about the Ricky thing- he is the Angela of this season. How the heck did he last this long?!?!
