Jessica Simpson’s New Movie Is A Hit…

….with 48 people.

Let’s back tings up a little bit.  In case you didn’t hear, Jessica Simpson’s latest film “Blonde Ambition” was set to go straight to DVD, but instead took a pit stop at theaters only in Texas, her home state.  The movie opened on Friday on 8 screens and made a whopping $384 for the night.  No, I didn’t leave out an extra zero, and that certainly isn’t $384 million…..it made three hundred and eighty four dollars, period.  In other words there were about 6 people in each theater.  As if having a film go straight to DVD wasn’t enough, this has to be like rubbing salt in a wound.

Poor Jessica, her movie is a double bomb and Dallas Cowboy fans every where hate her (they’ve even made masks of her face to wear at games).  But honestly what girl would stay upset long with all those shoes and handbags?

Here’s to hoping Major Movie Star cracks four figures.
