AMA’s Recap

Fergie, Will.i.am. and Nicole Sherzinger kicked off the show with a 25 minute melody (well at least it felt like 25 minutes). Fergie’s dress was super cute….but her voice was not.

And man, Will.i.am is terrible. Me and my mom were laughing like crazy when he started dancing.

One of the highlights of the show was Jimmy Kimmel pulling Kellie and Jordin up on stage to reenact the “Soulja Boy” dance. And then Soulja Boy himself came out on stage. Is it weird that I’ve never heard that whole song?

The first award of the night, and about 4904894 others over the course of the show, went to DAUGHTRY. Ew. And wow at so many idols in so little time…

One of the signs of the apocalypse: Akon wins an award.

I think Ne-yo and Rihanna’s song is boring as heck, but that remix of Umbrella was interesting at least.

Oh boy. WHY WHY WHY did Beyonce let Sugarland butcher her song like that? That was one of the most hideous sounds I’ve ever head in my life!

By far the MOST entertaining moment of the night was when that kid from the Jonas brothers took ONE STEP on to the stage and BOOM, falls on his face! Now that’s what happens when you wear pants that are 3 sizes too small. What was up with those ridiculous costumes anyways?? Ship these kids back to the Disney channel, thanks.

Finally some people I like! (I swear I’m not 50 years old) But I’m not really crazy about Celine’s new song.

Leave it to Chris Brown to pull off a showstopper! It was a pretty good performance, the bit at the end with them dancing upside down was creative.

The remaining Dancing With The Stars finalists presented an award (hey, it’s ABC) minus Marie. Push for the final 3 much? I sure hope so!

Oh yeah and Mel B.’s dress cute!

I don’t even know what was going on with Alicia Keys’ performance, I just heard a bunch of reggea people yelling and a bout a million people jumping around on stage. Aside from that it lasted FOREVER and sounded obnoxious.

Beyonce wins the big International Artist Award; I think they said it was the first time a woman won or something.

Her dad is so weird he has like no personality.

Oh and then about 10 minutes later Rihanna beats her in the Soul R&B category. Which is funny cause her music is pop, but anyways…

And wow, I was kind of surprised that Fergie won the big award. Lol at them giving the big one to Beyonce and then no one votes for her.

So in a nutshell, Carrie Underwood and DAUGHTRY won every single category, even rap. What a surprise that people from American Idol would win on a show where PEOPLE VOTE.
