Heroes 2.05

Alright folks…just like I promised, a little bit of talk about Heroes (and not which actors are dating each other). On last night’s episode we met Kristen Bell’s character, but we didn’t learn much about her except that she can manipulate electricity through metal (I think?). She’s looking for Peter and apparently her father sent her on the mission. Oh and she killed the Irish guy; his sister, who Peter is in love with, wasn’t happy about that. Peter finally opened that box but it didn’t tell him anything and he doesn’t care to get his memory back. People sure fall in love fast on TV.
The episode also focused on that other new girl who can mimic anything she sees, a tiny bit about Hiro and the gang back in 17th century Japan, Nikki/Jessica in that hospital, Mohinder doing whatever it is that Mohinder usually does. No Claire, no HRG, no Sylar, none of the wonder twins. Shame cause I wanted to see those storylines. I must be the only one on the planet who actually thinks the twins are interesting.

But we did see a lot of Matt and going to find his dad. Now none of this made any sense to me. Matt’s dad can read minds too. He seemed like he actually wanted to help the two of them, until he lead Matt through this room, where he saw some sort of hollagram of himself being in jail. Oh we also find out that Matt’s wife’s baby really is his but he left anyways. And then goes into the room and finds himself looking at post apocolyptic New York. And then they start beating each other up. Uh, okay? I’m not even going to try and figure this one out.
So how many storylines did I just cover? A lot. All I really hear on every message board I go to is people complaining about this season, and most of them have pinpointed the problem to one thing: there are too many characters! I agree with this but only to an extent. It’s an ensemble cast, there have always been a lot of characters, many of which died and have been replaced. The real problem is that there are too many STORYLINES. I mean all the characters are spread across the four corners of the earth and even TIME….the writers need to streamline this stat.
Really the best part of the show is getting to see our fave characters interact. Last year the show was at it’s best when all the storylines began to converge. But after the preview for next week it looks like that might begin to happen, although I don’t think Peter will be joining up with anyone anytime soon (Montreal, seriously? sigh…). Yeah, so next week should be good. I’m not giving up on this show, no way no how!

Just to make it clear what you didn’t understood. The Matt scene with his dad was like this: his dad was lieyng to him about being on the good side, and he is te killer. the thing that we saw happenning with Matt and Nathan is caused by his dad power - who is a telepaty just like the son.
He kind of made all that seems real when in fact it wasn’t. Just like what happened to Angela Petrelli in the police office. And Kaito Nakamura’s death in the first episode.
He’s the ‘nightmare man’, like Moly says, because he can enter in your head and make your worst nightmare real.
That’s the evolution of Matt’s power. And that’s how Matt was abble to stop all that.
We - Matt and Nathan - were seeing that but what was in fact happening was that Nathan and Matt were fighting each other.

Thanks for that info. That’s kind of what I figured. Interesting that Matt is going to be able to do that too!

i think he will have a variation of that power…cuz his dad is obviously bad, and matt is good. i cant wait to figure out more about kirsten bells character…and i hope they add more and more and more…hell i wanna power…
