Nicole Richie Confirms Pregnancy

In her interview with Diane Sawyer, which will air later this week, Nicole Richie officially confirms that she’s with her boyfriend Joel Madden’s baby.    “Yes, I am. We are. I’m almost four months,” she says directly.  Didn’t Lionel Richie say he knew she wasn’t pregnant because she would’ve told him first?  Uh, OUCH. Nicole also said the following about her prison sentence:

“I have a responsibility and it’s something that I did wrong, and if I could personally apologize to every single person that has lost a loved one from drunk driving I would,” Richie said about her recent guilty plea. “And unfortunately I can’t, but this is my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult.”

…and the fact that she knew it would’ve been worse had she not pled guilty, like what happened to Paris.  What better way to kick off motherhood than spending a few days in the slammer with your unborn baby?  I’m sure that’s a sign of things to come.
