Paris on Larry King Live
Posted by Kimberly on June 28th, 2007 filed in Paris Hilton, Celebrity ArrestsSo, who else caught Paris Hilton’s interview on Larry King? It was an interesting interview, she really did a good job of seeming sincere and humble, which I’m sure she was coached on. Her voice sounds a lot lower than usual so she’s dropped that high pitched baby voice she does a lot. Here are a few of the highlights:
Paris said going to the MTV awards was a “trick” and camoflouge for going to jail early.
Larry asks if she blames her parents for her lifestyle and she pauses, and gives a diplomatic answer. She adds that she has gotten rid of some toxic friends.
Says she loves creative writing and writing scripts.
Mentions that her voice gets really high when she gets shy and nervous.
Says she has never taken drugs, which is interesting because there are pictures of her smoking pot. She also says that she’s not a big drinker.
Confirms that she takes Aderol for ADD, but a lot of the reports coming out of jail were false.
Paris is “sick” of going out and it’s not the mainstay in her life anymore.
She talks about reading the Bible in jail and says she’s become more spiritual now.
She says she wants to set something up for women coming out of jail who don’t have family or anywhere to go. At this point she looks like she’s going to cry.
Calls herself a business woman a lot.
What do you guys think, was Paris being honest? Did we see the real Paris tonight? I say yes and no.
ETA: Tiff’s take…
I caught this interview, and honestly, half watched it because I was bored about two minutes in. However, Paris made it sound like she was in a tiny cell the entire three and a half weeks. But, several media sources had reported she was in a larger room with eight other [empty] beds a majority of her stay. She claimed she couldn’t watch TV, but rumors persisted that she had access to a TV room while in the medical area, which she was for most of the three and a half weeks.
Paris claims the experience of jail changed her for the better. She said her lawyer told her she could drive, or she would not have been driving on a suspended license. She took full responsibility for the original DUI, saying “I never should have been driving,” even if she only had one drink. She said she wants to do things to raise awareness, and feels like she can because of who she is. Further, Paris claimed she was treated nicely by other inmates and staff, but also like any other prisoner.
And lastly, after various claims that she had turned to her faith, and she’d been pictured carrying a Bible many times before jail, you would think she might have actually comprehended a little of what it said. Larry asked what her favorite Bible verse was. She looked down at the papers in front of her, and gasp, apparently the answer wasn’t there! Ack. So then she said, “I don’t have a favorite.” Wow, cop-out. She could have at least said something like John 3:16, almost everyone has heard that one. She has a full license now, no restrictions or suspensions….but yes, she’s on probation.
So how long will this “new” Paris last? Three months? Three days? Three minutes? Look for a new ‘Simple Life’ PSA starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, with a guest appearance by Lindsay Lohan about the dangers of drinking and driving this Fall. (Not really. Sarcasm, people.)

The interview show me Paris is still Paris. She is shallow and won’t change. She is still a ho with money and spoil brat. She said she never did drugs. Get real Paris.
