David Archuleta’s Album Cover

Um, I’m not even sure what to say about this. It’s just kinda…there? I get that they’re trying to give him more of serious image, but just like with Jordin’s album cover, it’s kind of ridiculous when you see these kids smiley all the time and then they look emo on their covers.

Oh well, at least it’s better than katharinealbum.jpg.

    for debut albums I don’t think they’ve ever done a good job. He looks “special” on this cover. IA, he was always smiling on the show and they should have done that type of cover.

    I’m RELIEVED they didn’t use a smiley photo. This one will probably take some time to get used to for some people who didn’t expect it, but I think it was a smart choice for record stores. The colors,the smoldering stare,the cool type…it pops!
    He looks mature. Good for him.

    Rob, I don’t disagree w/ you. I think they shouldve found a way to do something more upbeat w/o being cheesy though. Actually, in the long run this cover will probably work out for the best.

    It’s funny how he was runner-up to David Cook. Yet David A. seems to be in the spotlight more often then David C. Last time I heard a song from David C. was Time Of My Life and that was released soooo long ago.

    For some stranger reasons previous contestants and the runner-up seems to release something before the winner.

    Cook’s single is being released this week and his CD comes out a week after my birthday.

    Yea Cook releases his debut single way after David A. releases his debut single. Time of my Life isn’t really considered as a debut single. But yea I gave a listen to Cooks’ new single. Not as good as when he was on AI.

    This cover is the most accurate representation of David as he truly is - A serious artist and musician who just happens to be drop dead gorgeous. He’s moving away from the cute little Idol kid into serious hottie territory, and it’s working. I am more interested in what’s gonna be inside this cover on 11/11. Whatever he’s sellin’, I’m buying!

    HOT! HOT! HOT! When did David get so fine? He’s the total package - good looks, great singer, down to earth… Love him, love the cover - nuff said.

    ^Im sorry but Im not going to be able to look at him as “hot” for another good decade or so.

    Kenny - I’ve heard mixed reviews of his song. Pretty much the die hard fans love it but everyone else, not so much. Crush definitely has been received much better.

    Beg to differ #12 - this song has gone GOLD -, has been consistently in the Top 10 on I-tunes, and is currently at #15 on the Billboard charts… he’s building a solid base outside of the confines of his Idol base… the die hard fans have done what any fans should do - give him that initial push,and let the song sell itself… and guess what? The music buying public at large is loving this song! David has way more depth than we were led to believe, and he is just beginning to scratch the surface of his prodigious talent. I am excited about his future, and wish him much success… and he ain’t gotta wait another ten years for anyone with eyes to see that he is H-O-T! :) Not a bad thing… just the added cherry on top of his other talents..
