Its Official: Jail Time for Paris

Yup, that's right, Paris Hilton has officially been sentenced to 45 days in jail! Her days of living above the law and not being responsible for her actions are officially over. Just a few hours ago Paris sat in front of the judge as she was sentenced to 45 days in jail, after driving with a license that was suspended from a prior DUI.

Witnesses inside the coutroom say that the only excuse Paris could come up with was that her rep Elliott Mintz led her to believe her license was valid. When the verdict was read, neither her or her parents were very happy (obviously!). Paris reportedly cried, pleading "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." and the her mother, Kathy Hilton marched up to the judge saying, "I want your autograph. This is pathetic. I can't believe all the money we spent on this." Well, no wonder Paris thinks money can solve everything.

So, what will prison life be like for Paris? Honestly, I think she'll be just fine. If Martha Stewart can survive, so can she...I guess. And I'm sure she'll come out with a lucrative book deal and probably even a movie deal. Her sentence starts on June 5th and she'll be serving 45 days at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California (which is just minutes away from Compton).

ETA: She was 10 minutes late to the trial.

And just to set things straight, I'm NOT taking happy about this because of someone elses pain (part of me kind of feels sorry for her), but I AM happy that an example is being made. Remember that video where Stavros crashed Paris' car into the back of a truck and was obviously intoxicated? And the police let him go? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

Keira Talks Body Image

In the new issue of Elle Magazine, Keira Knightley has a lot to say about her weight. She's been snapped on a few occasions baring her concave chest and looking thinner than she usually does, which of course sparked speculation of eating disorders. In the article she explains that she lost weight while filming Pirates of the Carribean, mainly because they were filming in "soaring heat" and she's wearing heavy corsets and what not....makes sense.

On trying to gain weight, she says:
I took it very seriously. I went to the doctor to be checked out and asked him what I could do to put on weight. he told me that for someone my body type to get to a size 12 (which is about an 8 in the US), I would have to eat a lot of s*** food, stop exercising and drink loads.

About going to parties:
At parties, I stand on my own, grinning aimlessly. I can never thin of a thing to say. I wish I was Sienna Miller. I watch that girl and she' just fabulous. She talks to everyone and laughs and smiles and looks as if she is genuinely enjoying herself. Please don't wish for that, Keira.

And on fame in general:
The celebrity thing is completely crazy. I think I just have to move away or give it up altogether. I couldn't have kids in the situation I'm in now. But I could just do something else. That's probably what's going to happen. I'm just not so hungry any more. I made a decision very recently that I wanted a life instead.

She also mentions that she does NOT like being "thinspiration" on pro-anorexia websites, and that ideally she'd rather have a curvy shape like Monica Bellucci.

Great pics (even thought he shoot is old), I still think she's one of the top 3 prettiest females in Hollywood. And I love the styling. Check out the rest of the images on the flip side.

Breaking News: Britney Chews Gum During Performance

Night two of Britney Spears' "comeback tour". This time fans had to wait two hours for the 12 minute lip synching fest, a bit shorter than Tuesday nights 16 minutes (not 20, sorry!). But despite the shorter set the fans at the House of Blues in Anaheim were in for an extra special treat....they got to see Britney and her gum fetish in it's full glory as she actually chewed DURING the entire performance. Excuse me while I bang my head against a desk. Could she at least, like, TRY? I can't help but wonder how many refunds were requested...

Paris: Countdown To Lockdown Begins

Paris' days of living above the law just might be over. The LA City Attorney has filed papers asking the court to sentence the heiress to 45 days in jail after driving with a suspended license (and the license was suspended because of a DUI, in case you forgot). The legal papers also want Paris to stay away from alcohol for 90 days, which might be even harder for her than going to prison!

Paris is supposed to show up in court tomorrow and hopefully the judge doesn't wimp out and let her go just because of her famous name.

For the sake of all humanity, LOCK HER UP.

Lindsay Blames the Paparazzi For Failing Career

Lindsay leaving Club Parc....last night.

Lindsay Lohan honestly believes the only reason she doesn't have an Academy Award is because of the paparazzi. Yup, she blames photogs for her career not progressing and for being typecast as a party girl who doesn't do anything except go to clubs and get drunk. So I'm guessing they went to her house and forced her at gunpoint to go out every single night. Here's her exact quote:

"The thing about the press and why they need to leave me the [bleep] alone for a little bit is because I don't want that distraction from my work. I want to get a nomination. I want to win an Oscar. I want to be known for more than, like, going out. For being 'the party girl.' I hate that. I bust my [bleep] when I'm filming, and when I gave time off, yeah, I like to go out and dance."

Honey, the press doesn't CARE if you're distracted. Having talent is the only thing keeping you from getting an Oscar....but showing up to the set on time and NOT hungover/high would probably be a good start.

Britneys Big Comeback

Britney Spears put on a "secret" show at the House of Blues in LA on Monday night; it was her first performance in who knows how long. Basically, Brit came out, sang a bunch of her old songs like Do Somethin', Toxic, Baby and Breath On Me, and then just left. The clubgoers said the performance only lasted about 20 minutes and she didn't even preview her new songs. Wow. Sounds so not exciting.

Obviously they spent about $3.50 on the wardrobe for this performance. I mean, those are some BAAAD outfits; even for Britney.
