Dakota Fanning Caught Her Sister Elle Stealing Her Clothes

Dakota Fanning has revealed that she once caught her sister stealing her clothes. Dakota was working on a film in London, when she came across photos of her younger sister dressed head-to-toe in pieces taken from her own wardrobe. Dakota said she rang her immediately and told her that she’d been caught:
“She steals my clothes! As far as I’m concerned, there’s a no-closet-sharing policy, but as far as Elle is concerned… I’ll go in my room, and there will be clothes on the floor, clothes missing, clothes that are now in her closet. Last summer, I was in London working on a film, and I was looking online and these pictures came up on my homepage. She was in my hat, my dress, my shoes. I called her up and was like, ‘I caught you! They photographed you wearing all my stuff. Put it back!’ She hung up on me! She didn’t care at all.”
Dakota says that Elle knows everything about fashion, and that she really admires designers for their work. She also says that she now feels as though she is equal with her sister, and not a leader, while she even feels like she can go to her younger sister for help if she needs it:
“She’s the go-to fashion person in the family. Elle knows every single model, every single collection, every single piece from every single collection. She has a real passion, and it’s not at all in a materialistic way. She genuinely appreciates the workmanship and creativity. It’s funny, ’cause when you’re an older sister, you try to be the leader and example, and I’ve recently had to accept that we’re equals. The day has come when I actually need her help. I’ve had to admit that to myself and break down and be like, ‘Little sister, does this look good?’”
