Christian Slater Reaches Out to Lindsay Lohan

Former drug addict Christian Slater has commented on his struggle with drugs and has also reached out to actress Lindsay Lohan who recently completed her 5th stint in rehab. Christian stated that he reaches out to those who he feels need support:

“Addiction is not pretty and you don’t fully understand it unless you’re dealing with it head-on.That’s why when I see other kids struggling, I will sometimes reach out to them – a call or an email.”

When asked if he had reached out to Lindsay, Christian said he had:

“Sure, of course. I appreciated the people who reached out to me. It’s a brutal position to be in. You feel alone and confused over where your life went and how you gout yourself in this situation.”

Christian also revealed that his time in jail really helped him sort out his issues. He recently said in an interview with Details magazine:

“Jail was a result of me not taking time for myself. So I was forced to take some time for myself. It was necessary for me. When you’re going down that path, you either kill yourself or you’re forced to take some time out.”

Does Lindsay need to go back to jail for a longer time to really sort herself out? Let’s hope she doesn’t!
