Jessica Sierra Arrested

Remember Jessica Sierra from 'American Idol' season four? She made the top 10, but was kicked off not long after? After her run on 'Idol' she had problems with a stalker and talked to several magazines about how she'd feared for her life.

Now, the 21 year old has been arrested. Sierra was arrested for felony battery with a deadly weapon after she hit a man with a glass, and, she was charged with possession of cocaine and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility. She supposedly had a small amount of the drug on her when she was searched.

It seems like 'Idol' really doesn't help some people.... I didn't know a glass could be considered a deadly weapon, but that does make sense. Oh, and the man is okay, he had a cut over his eye. I wonder what he said to cause the attack?

If that doesn't keep the kids off of drugs, I don't know what will...

Girls Gone Wild Founder Arrested

Maybe you don't know him by name, but Joe Francis is the founder of the 'Girls Gone Wild' series, where college-aged girls flash parts of their bodies, and do other wild things for cameras. Since the chain started, Francis wormed his way into Hollywood with money made from his venture, befriending people like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Last week, a court found Francis in contempt, due to a lawsuit linked to seven women that were underage when filmed. At first, he refused to surrender, and then said he would surrender in Panama City Beach, FL today, where the lawsuit originated. Instead of giving him a chance to turn himself in, the police met him at the airport.

Personally, I think it's somewhat disgusting and at the same time intriguing that a man can be made a multi-millionaire (worth $29 million) for taking a camera and filming girls flashing their chests on Spring Break. It just shows that not only are we, as Americans, driven by sexual images, but also many girls don't have respect for themselves when they do something like that (and make someone else money.)

Aubrey O'Day Denies Pregnancy

Last week, rumors swirled that Aubrey O'Day of "Making the Band" / Danity Kane was pregnant...and not with just anyone's baby, but P. Diddy's baby. Scandalous, considering he just welcomed twin girls with his wife a few months ago.

Today, in a myspace bulletin, Aubrey denied all the rumors, saying "I am not and have never been pregnant, nor has my relationship with Diddy been anything more than strictly professional."

Well there you go. I guess that was just a really bad picture of her that had surfaced.

Naomi Leaves Couture Service....

Actually that's...community service. That's right, this isn't a runway show. Supermodel Naomi Campbell decided to finish her community service and leave in a full on couture gown. She was sentenced to one week's service at the New York Sanitation Department, after one of her many rage fits....I believe this one was related to throwing a cellphone at her maid's head.

Heck, she can leave wearing whatever she wants, I guess she figured she might as well look good if she knew photogs would be there. I have to say though, I'm not a big fan of the metal corset thing that's prominent in a lot of designs I've seen this season. It looks uncomfortable at best.

Paris Pulled Over Without A License

MSNBC is reporting that socialite Paris Hilton was pulled over on Sunset Boulevard for speeding. The police then discovered she was driving on a suspended license, which is linked to her DUI arrest and conviction. Hilton apparently claimed to have no knowledge of the suspension.

Her Bentley was towed, and she proceeded to walk down the street to the Standard Hotel, where she partied the rest of the night.

Not only am I amused this made MSNBC, because I think that's ridiculous, it's also somewhat crazy she just walked down the street and went to a party. And apparently California law doesn't require an arrest for driving on a suspended license if the person driving is unaware of the suspension. Even if she had been arrested, they probably would've slapped her on the wrists, but she is on probation, so maybe not. I also guarantee if it hadn't been Paris Hilton, the person driving the car, (a non-"celeb,") would have been arrested without question.

None of this explains why she looks so burnt.

Bounty Hunter To Appeal

Last week, a judge cleared the way for Duane "Dog" Chapman (aka The Bounty Hunter,) his son Leland, and his brother Tim to be extradited back to Mexico in response to their arrest regarding the 2003 capture of serial rapist Andrew Luster, heir to the Max Factor fortune. Because bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico (without authority supervision,) the trio was arrested once they apprehended Luster.

A lawyer for Dog is filing another appeal due to a minor detail in existing Mexican law. The legal representation finds this discrepancy "promising" in the track to get a fair hearing for Dog, his son, and brother. So, for now, extradition will not happen.

Personally, I think that's good. I think getting a [potential] four year sentence in a Mexican prison is very steep when they caught a serial rapist who was convicted on 86 counts of rape.

Dog The Bounty Hunter May Be Extradited

Duane "Dog" Chapman, also known as "The Bounty Hunter" on the popular related A&E reality show has been cleared for extradition back to Mexico in relation to a 2006 arrest. Chapman, his son, and another business partner were arrested in Mexico after capturing serial rapist Andrew Luster. He was the heir to the Max Factor cosmetics fortune.

Due to the actions Chapman took, Luster was taken into American custody after he'd fled to Mexico to avoid capture for rape. Luster was charged with over 80 counts of serial rape, in 2003, and ran to escape prison. When found, he was in possession of video equipment and GHB, which is what he used to drug the victim and then film the crime. He had been sentenced to 124 years in prison, which he is in the process of serving.

Because Dog and his associates violated the 'no bounty-hunting' Mexican law when they attempted to bring Luster back in the States they were arrested. Now, he faces four years in a Mexican prison.

While I understand Dog, his son and his business partner broke a law for bounty-hunting in Mexico, look at what they did for society. Think about how many lives they kept from being wrecked by the monster, Luster. I'm not saying they shouldn't be punished, but fine them, don't give them/him four years in prison.

Dog came to American attention after his original arrest, which prompted his A&E reality show.

Brandy In Car Wreck Nightmare!

Wow, I'm surprise we're just finding out about this now. TMZ has found records that singer Brandy was involved in a car crash on December 30th; no, it wasn't a DUI but the results of the crash were fatal. She was headed down the 405 freeway in Los Angeles, apparently not paying attention to the cars in front of her which had slowed down, and rammed into a Toyota going 65 mph. The woman in the other car slid sideways into the center divider and was then hit by another car. Unfortunately, the woman in the Toyota did not survive the crash. What a horrible thing to go through for the woman's family AND Brandy. Since there were no drugs or alcohol involved, charges most likely won't be pressed against Brandy. But hopefully she'll learn to stay awake at the wheel from now on.

Paris Gets Slapped On The Wrist

Paris Hilton has received her sentence for her drunk driving arrest. Turns out the socialite famewhore (that wasn't nice of me, was it?) has gotten herself three years probation. I'm actually surprised she got that much, considering I figured her lawyers would try to talk down the punishment as much as possible.

Paris reportedly pled "no contest," which is equal to a guilty plea in California. Apparently Paris can lessen her probation to one year if she completes 40 hours of community service. (We've all seen 'Simple Life,' I'm sure that will go over well.)

AI 6 Contestant Has Criminal Past

Remember this guy, Thomas Daniels from the 'American Idol' 6 Seattle auditions the other night? Well, TMZ has uncovered a record of Daniels', a criminal record.

He made it through to Hollywood, and there are rumors he makes it through to the top 44, but TMZ noted he's got a bit of a past. Once, in 2004, he was arrested with a DUI, which resulted in a fine and a year of an alcohol diversion program and counseling. Then, in 2005, he was arrested for a hit and run, and he didn't appear in court to be arraigned, resulting in a third arrest.

The site asked Daniels if the show knew about his past, and he didn't comment. Maybe this explains why he auditioned two seasons previously, but they were spaced out? In that time he was busy fulfilling his sentences? No idea. Granted, other contestants have been charged with more serious crimes (Bo Bice & drugs) and were allowed to stay in the competition, so this probably won't affect him in terms of competing. In public image, maybe.
