Brittany Murphy Dies At 32 Cardiac Arrest

Posted by sparky on December 20th, 2009

TMZ reports that Brittany Murphy, actress and recording artist, died this morning from cardiac arrest.  She was only 32.

Murphy had starred in “8 Mile” with Eminem.  She was also in “Clueless” and “Don’t Say a Word”.  She was great in “Uptown Girls”.

Murphy was married to Simon Monjack, a British screenwriter.  According to The Hollywood Gossip, the guy has a reputation for being shady.  In fact, he is sometimes called “Con-jack”.

I remember in 2002 when she was dating Ashton Kutcher.  She’s definitely a little hottie.  I just learned that in 2006, Murphy was voted 36th in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women List, and in May of the same year, Maxim named Murphy #49 on its annual Hot 100 List.

This is sad news.  It’s difficult to believe that drugs weren’t involved, not that this should make any difference to the gravity of the tragedy.  My bet is that cocaine did her in.  The LA County Coroner is launching an investigation.
