Everything is finally falling back into place for Billy Ray Cyrus. He and his wife Tish called off their divorce and he and Miley patched things up after his “hurtful” comments about her career. He revealed in a recent interview that his main focus now is making sure Miley is happy.

“We’ve always had a slogan in our family: ‘If you ain’t happy, it ain’t working.’ You need to love what you’re doing.”

He says that the only thing that matters is that Miley continues to love making music and acting. Still, Billy Ray has always been critical of what becoming a celebrity can do to someone. He wants to let all aspiring musicians know that it’s important to stay grounded and not be affected by fame. He advises them to just “be who you are.”

“It’s important to stay focused on where you want to go, what you’re all about and what you want to do with your work.”
