Man was that pre-show brutal or was it brutal? Carrie Ann Inaba and Nicole Sherzinger doing the red carpet, seriously? And they let Bobblehead perform twice? I almost tossed my cookies!

Christina Aguilera kicks off the show with a medley of 7 of her hits in 7 minutes. Okay, I’ve been tough on her recently but she did a pretty good job, although her dancing could use some work. And minus the bangs, she was looking pretty good; she’s gotten into even better shape since the VMA’s.

I find it absolutely bizarre whenever I see the New Kids perform on TV or their video on VH1 or something. It’s been a loooong time since boy bands have been on television. “Single” was good, but it was kind of down hill from there, and Jordan’s falsetto had dogs howling behind my house.

Wow, that’s Pink?? She looks so glam, almost like Marilyn from a distance (a very significant distance, mind you). She sang her new song “Sober”, which was ironically introduced by a very drunk and slightly scary Scott Weiland. Good performance, good vocals, not crazy about the song itself though.

Taylor Swift had tears in her eyes and looked real mad while she was singing “White Horse”. Joe Jonas must’ve been cringing. I kinda like this song, what’s wrong with me??

Kanye wins and gives the entire music industry a motivational speech. Uh, thanks for that…

And yes, he’s wearing a tail. Do. not. ask.

Leona Lewis takes the stage! “Better In Time” is growing on me, slowly, but it doesn’t touch “Bleeding Love” for me. Girl can REALLY hit those high notes though!

After being 15 for what felt like 454586 years, Miley Cyrus is finally 16 years old. That performance was a whole lotta something; they couldn’t have fit another person on that stage if they had tried. She’s got pretty good stage presence but it still weirds me out to see a teenager with their legs all open in the camera like that.

Coldplay…uh, okay there a butterflies falling from the sky and a grown man is skipping around on stage. No. And also, that song had NO melody whatsoever. Next.

The Fray sings their new song “You Found Me”, which is featured in the promos for Lost. Not a bad song, I never really get into their music very much though…unlike everyone else!

Woah, Beyonce brought it HOME with “Single Ladies”! I wasn’t feeling this song at first but now it’s my jam at the gym and everything.

The Pussycat Dolls did their two latest hits, “I Hate this Part” and “When I Grow Up”. Cue lots and lots of leather, spandex and PVC. It was entertaining, not gonna lie, but poles are ALWAYS trashy!

Justin Timberlake shaved.

Annie Lennox was presented with the award of merit, and performed “Why”, a song I’ve ALWAYS loved. It was pretty refreshing to actually see someone with substance on stage! Honestly my brain was going numb for a while there.

I really like Kanye’s new song “Heartless”, and he pretty much always puts on a good show, this no excluded. I didn’t really get the whole stage set up though, was he supposed to be inside a pinball machine or something?

But seriously, enough with the tail!

Well this costume was just too much. Rihanna came out singing “Rehab”, a ballad, dressed like a post apocalyptic pirate. Over the top much??

And the Artist of the Year award goes to……Chris Brown?? He didn’t get it and neither did we.

Sarah McLachlan and Pink (raaaandom) perform “Angel”. I know this song is a million years old but it never really gets old. But unfortunately all it reminds me of now is dogs with one eye :/
