Stars of all shapes and sizes get criticized because of their weight on a regular basis – some are always labeled as underweight or even anorexic even when they’re not, while others are constantly being called fat or are hurtfully accused of “packing on the pounds”. These 5 stars all say they are healthy and happy even though they are so often in the headlines for their weight. Hitting back at the media who so often place an emphasis on their weight, these 5 stars call out those who are always hounding them and say they’re happy with what they’ve got and so they should be too.

Christina Aguilera

Christina slammed critics, stating that she is happy in her own skin and that’s all the matters: “As long as I’m happy in my own skin, that’s all I need. I’m happy with where I’m at. I have a boyfriend that loves my body. I love my body. My son is healthy and happy. That’s all that matters… I think my video works over the years have spoken to that… As you know, ‘Dirty’ and so on, and ‘Lady Marmalade’. I’ve been no stranger to being very comfortable in my own skin to take those risks, to take those chances.”

Nadine Coyle

Nadine feels she can never satisfy those who criticize her: “People should stop bullying me about my weight. One minute they say I’m too plump, the next they say I’m too thin. I can never win. Everyone is always speculating about my weight, saying I don’t eat. Why don’t they just leave me alone? I am totally happy with my weight. I’m not unhealthy at all! I’m just doing a lot of running with my trainer back home in L.A.”

Miley Cyrus

Miley calls out those commenting on her weight: “Talk all you want. I have my flaws. I’m a normal girl (sic) theres things about my body I would change but stop with calling me f*t in post. I dont even like the word. Those remarks that you hateful people use are fighting words. The ones that scar people and cause them to do damage to themselves or others.”

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly feels that she has often been laughed at over her weight but it’s the people who criticize who have a problem: “For seven years it’s been happening. It’s like, ‘Okay, cool the fat joke’. I love my body. I’m very much OK with it. I don’t think artists are ever the ones who have the problem with their weight, it is other people.”

Demi Lovato

Demi hits back at those who called out her weight gain: “I’ve gained weight. Get over it. That’s what happens when you get out of treatment for An Eating Disorder… Guess what, I’m healthy and happy, and if you’re hating on my weight you obviously aren’t.”
