5 Celebrities Who’ve Embraced Ageing

These 5 celebrities don’t worry about ageing – they don’t fret about the appearance of lines or wrinkles and certainly don’t mind that their lives are progressing – they believe that it makes them wiser, more successful and stronger as human beings. While many worry that they don’t look their best anymore or are past their prime regarding their careers, these stars believe that age leads to maturity and happiness that they couldn’t have achieved in their youth, so they’re embracing getting older because they are enjoying their life to the full and don’t want to worry!

Antonio Banderas

Antonio doesn’t worry about ageing and tries to live harmoniously: “I prefer to let life take me wherever it’s going to take me. Wrinkles are welcome, because they mean I have lived a life. If I looked in the mirror and saw somebody I was not supposed to be, then I would freak out. I smoke, which I shouldn’t do, but I do yoga and I think I eat well. And I try to be in harmony with my life. I am not too anxious to get anywhere anymore. When you are content, I think it helps you feel good and to look good too, I guess.”

Vanessa Paradis

Vanessa says you can’t escape ageing but you can be happy with what you’ve achieved for yourself: “What do you wanna do? You can pull what you’re gonna pull. But it’s always going to be there – the age and the lack of limberness. It’s not about that. It depends what you’ve achieved in your life and where you are at in your life. And it’s not like I’m that old that I can’t look at myself in the mirror. I’m not there yet.”

Kate Winslet

Kate doesn’t care about ageing but used to worry about it when she was younger: ”Oh my God, I couldn’t give a sh*t, I mean, I’m so much less self-conscious and I think that’s something to do with getting older and acceptance of one’s self, feeling stronger, feeling more confident… I mean, I remember being 21 and imagining that at 36 my tits would be around my knees and I would have bad hair and terrible teeth. When you are younger, somehow being in your later thirties just seems really old. But I feel stronger, fitter and more comfortable in my own skin now than I have ever done.”

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore isn’t bothered by the physical signs of aging: “It’s the best time of my life – it’s not traumatic at all. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier. It’s like the older I get, the better I get. Gravity and wrinkles are fine with me. They’re a small price to pay for the new wisdom inside my head and my heart. If my breasts fall down to the floor and everything starts to sag and becomes hideous and gross, I won’t worry. I’ll just stop appearing in front of the camera. That’s fine with me because I love producing and directing.”

Cindy Crawford

Cindy thinks age worry only happens when you have nothing better to do: “When you don’t have anything interesting to do, you start thinking too much about what you don’t have anymore. When you can appreciate fulfilling things like family, work, friends or the possibility of helping other people, you will have a focus. The list could go on. But to be standing in front of a mirror and to moan, ‘Oh my God, I’ve just found another wrinkle!’ That’s embarrassing. I don’t have time for that.”
