5 Celebrities Who Admit That They’re Workaholics

These 5 stars are so addicted to their work, they simply can’t deal with time off. Even if they take a day off or go on vacation, all they can think about is their job! These clearly very ambitious celebrities constantly have work on their mind and simply can’t unwind until they’ve achieved every goal they’ve dreamed up. While it’s amazing to see such dedication, some probably need to slow down and take a breather every now and then, they certainly deserve it!

Kim Kardashian

Kim says even on her day off she won’t stop work completely because she is so dedicated to perfection: “I’m always travelling. Having so many business ventures gets hectic. Even when I take days off, I find myself sneaking off to approve shoes for my website or photos for my perfume campaign. I’m a workaholic. If I’m doing something, then I’m 100 per cent involved. That’s what it takes to be super-successful. From ad campaigns to pictures to wording, I want it all to be perfect. I don’t want to be just a face.”

Taylor Momsen

Taylor loves her job and doesn’t want to stop working: “My best friends come on tour with me, I’m so close with my band so that’s fantastic. It’s the best job, you get to be with who you love and be with your friends all the time. There’s no complaints. I’m working 24 hours a day and that’s probably the one thing people don’t know about me, that I’m a workaholic and I can’t stop. But I love what I do so it’s always fun.”

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett keeps thinking about work even on vacation: “My mother keeps saying, ‘Go to sleep – what’s wrong with you?’ I don’t know what it is that keeps me going because I’m exhausted half the time. But for some reason I can’t take any time off because I get really anxious, and if I go on a vacation all I think about is work.”

Rihanna

Rihanna felt anxious while on holiday because she felt like she wasn’t moving towards her goals and wanted to get back to work: “(I had been) dreaming about it for the entirety of 2011… (but) I felt awful. I kept thinking, and that drove me nuts. I kept feeling like something wasn’t getting done, like I was being irresponsible. I knew this was going to be a big year, and I felt like I wasn’t doing anything about it. I had such anxiety, I was going crazy.”

Penelope Cruz

Penelope admits she used to be worse, but these days has learned to create a better balance between work and time off: “Lately, I have a much better equilibrium between work and time for my life. I can rest, go travelling, have time to do nothing. Before I might take 15 days off in a year and try to leave my BlackBerry in my room to please my family. The turning point was when I realised I was measuring the years going by according to whatever the films were I was working on, the countries I was shooting in. I was a total workaholic. I think that’s what I needed to do then. Now I can work, but I’m not on movie sets the whole year. I can say no until there is something I really need to do.”
