5 Celebrities Who Admit to Regularly Telling Lies in Interviews

Deciding to cover up the truth from the public, these 5 stars have all admitted that they actively lie in many interviews. Some have since quit this deceiving practice and say they regret doing so and were left feeling embarrassed about the many tall tales they spun, while others are open about the fact that they still do it. Mostly just hoping to keep their private life to themselves, whenever they are asked about something they don’t feel comfortable telling the truth about, they opt for a simple white lie instead. Other celebs say they’ve gone further and made up stories on purpose just to make the interview more interesting for themselves!

Christian gets annoyed with himself if he unveils too many family details in interviews so he often lies about his home life: “I’m an actor, I’m not a politician. I always kick myself when I talk too much about family, or personal things.”

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga says she often lies about her private life: “The discrepancy between private and public life: I believe as an artist, being private in public is at the core of the aesthetic, the message. However, I profusely lie about my personal relationships in an effort to protect that aesthetic and that message. Today people are distracted by unimportant things – like what my diet is, or who I’m f**king. I do sometimes feel that I’m on a stage all the time, and I do feel that life is a stage for my art – when I’m dancing, singing, making breakfast.”

Jared Leto

Jared was inspired to lie by actor River Phoenix who admitted to lying as much as possible: “When I was young, I read that River Phoenix said he tried to lie as much as possible in interviews. It’s O.K. to have a little fun out there. It’s not about being evasive. As you can see, I’m an open book.”

Marilyn Manson

Marilyn admits to lying all of the time and often feels embarrassed when he reflects on the lies: “I’m so embarrassed when I think of every awful thing I’ve said. But you get bored of hearing yourself speak, so you end up coming out with different answers and you contradict yourself just to keep yourself interested. And even the words you choose aren’t necessarily representative of yourself. So you’re f**ked. You may as well just go home.”

Megan Fox

Megan regrets all of the lies she’s told in the past and says she no longer fibs: “I have said some things to throw people off the scent of what’s really going on in my life. So I have sort of aided the media in printing these misconceptions, which I regret. At this point, I’m not going to go out of my way to mislead people….that doesn’t really get me anywhere.”
