Ellie may be often surrounded by people she works with but she often ends up feeling very alone and rarely gets to see her boyfriend:”If someone asked me what emotion I felt the most it would be loneliness. My boyfriend travels around the world constantly. we see each other maybe once a month. So there’s that, but there’s also the loneliness of feeling you’re the only person who can do things the way you want to do them. I can be in a room with a bunch of friends and still feel pretty alone. I think I’ve always been like that, though.”
George reveals that it can get lonely even when he’s surrounded by other people because he is often put in isolation: “Anyone would be lying if they said they didn’t get lonely at times. The loneliest you will get is in the most public of arenas: You will go to a place and end up in the smallest compartment possible, because it’s a distraction to everybody, and you end up not getting to enjoy it like everyone else.”
Jennifer admits that there are times when she ends up by herself in a hotel and it can get her down:”Sometimes. You stay in these amazing hotel suites and I love the travelling and the people I work with, but yes, it’s a lonely lifestyle.”

I’ve been so lucky – I’ve got to travel to parts of the planet I’d never even heard of. It’s been like the blinders coming off. It’s lonely. I’m doing the most amazing things and couldn’t be happier, but I have no one to share with outside of a director or someone I’ve just met. So now I’m back in LA after two years and I’ve just seen my brother and I’m like, ‘Where do I begin?’ ”
Justin says he doesn’t have many friends because there are limited people he can trust so he can end up feeling depressed and lonely when there is no one to talk to: “I really don’t have a lot of friends. I have three close friends that I’ll fly out to see me or that I’ll iChat with or call. I get days where I’m just down and gloomy.”
