18 Unlikely Celebrity Couples

I love unlikely couples – it’s often quite strange (and of course, sometimes hilarious) to see two people who are total opposites get together in the public eye. I’ve chosen the best 18 examples of unlikely couples – some are old, some are recent – but all of them were unexpected for some reason. The biggest reason is probably looks – one is a stunningly beautiful celebrity, the other, not so much. In other cases, the couple shocked the world with their relationship, mostly because no one was expecting it!

Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack - C’mon Simon, who wears an outfit like that to a fashion show? hmm.. Brittany clearly wasn’t a shallow woman.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden – She was a reality TV star and best friends with Paris Hilton, he was the guy in the rock band. Still I didn’t see it coming. I always though Nicole would end up with a “pretty” guy.

Hugh Jackman and Wife – He’s Wolverine, and that friendly Australian cowboy guy in Australia. She looks like Kate Gosselin after having the Heidi Montag treatment.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer – She previously dated Brad Pitt. He’s an annoying musician. I didn’t see it coming.

Jessica Simpson and Billy Corgan – these two had a secret little thing going on for a while. Just weird!

Christina Aguilera and Jason Bratman – he must be really nice.

Shannon Elizabeth and Joseph D. Reitman – he’s not exactly gifted in the looks department. She must have recently regained her eye-sight: they’re currently in the middle of a divorce.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson – no one saw this couple coming. Lilo was still sort of normal back then, and Sam Ron was just Mark Ronson’s Djing sister, who, let’s face it, isn’t particularly beautiful.

Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett – She was a huge Hollywood star. He was a funny looking singer/songwriter. These two ended up marrying back in 93, and stayed married for almost 2 years.

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden – He wrote songs about how much he hates people like Paris, and then he ended up going out with her. Pretty hypocritical! He’s not exactly a looker either.

Portia De Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres – The shock, the horror – lesbians exist, they’re real! Remember when the news of this couple shocked everyone?

Ronnie Wood and random hottie # 2 – I will make love with you Mr Wood, but you must promise to take me to Chanel and buy me whatever I want.

Snoop Dogg and Mrs. Dogg – Considering he’s always talking about how much he loves doin his thang with a hunny in the back of the Lambo, she’s not exactly who I pictured him with. Perhaps they play monopoly before bed? or read a nice John Grisham thriller before nodding off together.

Sting and the one that he stung – wowza, she is a bit scary looking. Almost as if a Lord of the Rings hobbit crossbred with Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter.
